Eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge - part two

Good job the freezer was nearly empty @cuddlymarm and so no wastage. Also means you were able to defrost the freezer which is always a good thing! I find it really difficult to get the freezers empty in order to defrost. I usually end up just waiting for a cold day and then getting everything out and into boxes covered with an old quilt and then using my steamer to defrost it. I've got it down to a fine art and can defrost, dry and get everything back into it in about 30-40 minutes so doesn't have time to defrost.

Has anyone noticed if fish prices have started to fall. I usually buy fish from the wholesalers as we live not too far from the port and they deliver. I'm almost out of fish but I usually buy a fair amount at a time so it is worth waiting to see if there is any movement in prices. Also I would eat more fish if it was a bit cheaper.2 -
Don't laugh, but
Out: herbal tea and sparkling water for an alternative to 0% alcohol beer. Worked out for the price and the calories i'd be better off trying something else. And coke zero too much caffeine for when i get home at night. Imagine ice tea without the ice and garnish.

I'm starting to make an inroad into a freezer disaster. I have a load of packets of batter which were for Yorkshire puddings. I made and froze them last summer when I had a surplus of eggs. However when cooked they do not rise, so they will be cooked - over several days/weeks and chopped into small pieces as a treat for the hens. I 'm also thinking of grating a bit of dried cheese over them as my hens absolutely love cheese.2 -
