I went shopping on Friday and purchased a large pack y.s. smoked salmon, finished it off yesterday, and a y.s. half leg of lamb which I am eating today and possibly tomorrow.
Do I need it or just want it.

Frogletina the pie filling could be used to make individual pies in a muffin tin for the depth and frozen.

You could add stuffing mix to toad in the hole to have instead of any potatoes with it - or just to a batter mix to make a different sort of yorkshire pudding

I don't feel much like cooking today as I had an unexpected hospital visit yesterday. Fell over, cut my forehead but because I'm on a couple of blood thinners for my heart I couldn't stop it bleeding. DH took me to the local cottage hospital who sent me via blue light ambulance to the main one. Pressure bandages, MRI scans and stitches, I came home late evening. They were brilliant, couldn't fault them at all - so grateful. Unfortunately, everywhere I had been looked like a chainsaw massacre, I think the hall carpet will have to be thrown away, and I really feel sorry for the cleaners in the hospital and ambulance I couldn't apologise enough.
I look like I've gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, dressings, 2xblack eyes and scars down my nose. I certainly can't go shopping - I'd scare everyone :rotfl:

I sympathise zafiro hope it heals soon,
on a much lesser note 3 days before Christmas my dog smacked me on the eye brow as I got up, then Christmas morning took my friend and her dog to the beach to give them a good run, my friend opened the boot, as her dog is small compared to mine and not so obedient, she only partially opened the boot, I turned from some distraction and smacked the corner of the boot into my forehead, 2nd bruise.

HNY all. I am definitely joining. I've gone through all the freezer and cupboards and we are not buying meat (other than ham for sandwiches which my youngest likes) for this whole month!

I'll need some little bits and pieces but desperately trying to cut waste and bills.
