I harvested rhubarb, strawberries, cherries, and raspberries over summer; a handful or a bowlful every few days. I cleaned / washed / cut / froze them in sandwichbaggies. Now, every time I feel like it, I make a small put of 'jam': 1 baggy of rhubarb with 1 baggy of other red fruit and a bit of sugar. I eat it in my breakfast yoghurt with homemade granola.
I like this way of making jam/fruit stew, because it doesn't overwhelm me, and I need less sugar. The stew gets eaten within the fortnight.
That is a lovely way of doing it. I like that your breakfast supply has less sugarSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)

Well finally I have got the huge piece of lamb out of the freezer and I am going to roast it today - really to get the space in my freezer. Three of us does not really justify such a huge piece but I will use the leftovers sensibly for Sunday and Monday (we are out tomorrow and Saturday for food :eek:Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)
