Using up a few tins of things in the cupboard to make a mixed bean goulash with some brown rice. It's based on a Jack Monroe recipe from her website.0

OUT: Pork chop, liver, was for chop today liver tomorrow, but 2 chicken thighs over when portioning for dog, so eat those today, push everything else back a day.Do I need it or just want it.0 -

Got a couple of ready cooked sausages out of freezer and will have sausage sarnies for lunch, also got a pack of Asda chicken fahita ( ) out so will cook that maybe for dinner, mainly because its a large box and I need some room in freezer as will be going Morrisons tomorrow and I am hoping they have some kalettes in, neither Co-op or Lidl had them on Wednesday and I do like them - they have only just come in and I want to freeze some too.0

Used fruit and flour out of cupboards and the last half bottle of a chocolate wine thing I did not really go a bundle on, and made some small Xmas cakes as gifts, in sc now so hope they are good. Will be eating out today and hoping we can get our take-away tonight before we settle to our TV. Just heard she may have to go to visit rellies with her parents but we can always record and do tomorrow, can be flexible.0

Used up a bag of frozen courgettes in soup and two salmon fillets, with brussels, carrots and peas for supper.
We might have a veg (fridge) casserole with twisted bits of chipolatas added to use them up for the next day or two.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £2226.88/£3000 or 74.23% of my annual spend so far
