Have taken out some white fish, salmon fillet & smoked haddock fillet to make a fish pie for tonight's dinner. Will also add some frozen petit pois and serve with some cabbage.
  • Have got my operation date through (that was quick) so I am now busy making soup and meals for the freezer for when I come home. I had been using foods up whilst suffering with back so have some room in freezer and will use some of the odds and ends from freezers in the soups. For dinner and freezer today I have some pork belly slices and some mushrooms, will add some cabbage and leek mix (some for soup) and some swede - again some for soup. \freezers will be full up again.

Got burgers out for yesterday but as we ended up in Nando's for dinner as the traffic was bad after hospital appointment so will have those tonight with HM chips, mushrooms, onions & salad.

Popped in to M&S Food store and picked up a reduced chicken and reduced sea bream so a few more dinners gone into the freezer.

Got out some lamb chops yesterday so have had that for dinner tonight with roasted potatoes, onions, peppers; green beans, Brussels, peas and red cabbage.

Have got some mince out of the freezer for tomorrow and will make a chilli to have with some rice.

Got a 500g pack of minced beef out of the freezer and made a huge lasagne for 12 people by padding out with red lentils. I was rather concerned that my dish would not be meaty enough so I bought another 500g pack - then decided it was so I split the new one into two and froze them separately (doh!)
