OUT:- 1 carcass turkey, 2 haddock fishcakes
IN:- stock and turkey pieces from yesterday's turkey

I'm trying to make space by making stock and taking off any meat from turkeys carcasses I froze at Christmas. I save about 50% of the space with each carcass processed. It will also save me time later when I need stock or cooked turkey if I process them all now.

Not sure how this works: I have used a couple of packets of mash from the cupboards & mixed them with bits & pieces from the freezer (cheese, onion, coriander, sweetcorn, carrot) I produced 17 burger type cakes & put them back in the freezer. Ummmm.....

I don`t count veggies myself, I make my own faggots, so would count out liver and pork mince, but not the frozen onions and breadcrumbs. and in how many faggots made. :undecided

OUT beef for today, a lone pie I had with wedges last night.
    IN nothing.
Do I need it or just want it.
  • Out: 1 of Birds Eye Inspiration Fishchargrills. open a tin of potatoes, will pop some in oven to brown off with fish, left over cauli cheese and salad.

Lunch will be a couple of turkey "bacon" slices on toast. Have to think what to do with rest of potatoes over the next day or so. Want to do King Po shrimps and King Po sprouts so may do potatoes with that.
  • Goal: use up refrigerator freezer’s mystery items....and everything else frozen in there.

Used: 3 frozen bananas for banana bread
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

tallyhoh - I share your pain you taking stuff out making a dish and then freezing it! I think we all have our own way of doing this. I count what a put in/take out of my freezers and cupboards and anything I use up from fresh stuff that would have otherwise go to waste if not eaten within a short time frame.

    In: nothing
    Out: tinned pineapple
Used up: HM veg slaw, cottage cheese
  • From freezer, king prawns, sprouts and chips or some easy noodles, will use up the last of the Kung Po sauce on prawns & sprouts. Am looking forward to this as I am getting a bit fed up with my usual mince or chicken dishes. Palette feeling a bit jaded and freezers full just CBA to think about what to do. And this is with my7 meal plan. Hopeless.
