  • While last night didn't quite go to plan, mouldy peppers and no spring onions put paid to the stir fry. We did use the pork steaks and broccoli. Also used up a pack of spiced rice . Baby corns did go into the freezer though. Tonight I'm hoping to use use up some oven chips and battered fish along some dried curry sauce mix from the cupboard.
  • Hello!
Can I join you? Well actually I already have! I’ve just spent the last 2 days reading all the pages and getting to virtually know you!
So, I used to be so organised, did the most epic cook offs and was the queen of food inventory’s.
Then it all came crashing down when we had a double suicide attempt of my daughter and son in law.
They are both doing well now but this last year I somehow lost who I was and I need to get me back.
So I’m putting my big girl pants on and over the next few days I will revive my food inventory and see how to get my mojo back.
I’ll post later on but I just wanted to say

We had to throw out the sausages and bacon we had planned for Thursday, so a last minute deployment of frozen burgers with eggs and a tin of bean salad made for an interesting supper. I seriously need to plan more carefully.

Note to self - when I meal-plan, leave two things in the freezer in case the SM shop distracts me into buying something - it was two fresh mackerel for £1.84 yesterday. They were delicious but the opened pack of Haloumi is still in the fridge this morning
