No freezer movements today.
Found 2 peppered steaklets in Freezer - fetched home by Mr F - not something I would buy. Had them with HM wedges + roasted red onion, white onion & tomatoes.

Nope no shopping today but my mother is visiting Friday and she will want to. I'm hoping to get her distracted and wrapping Christmas presents for me
OUT
Wild N Atlantic salmon fillets (possibly Iceland offer, OH was cooking) used for stir fry. OH has all fingers intact despite cleaver :T
Still waiting for cook book to arrive
Florenceem were the steaklets as peppery as they look ? You always do great spuds - looking at the photos is closest I get to eating them these days !0 -
Yes, the steaklets were very peppery. I used potatoes from Mr T - £1.74 for 5 kg. I tossed them in Cajun seasoning.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

All my last little bits are coming out today as I am to the point I can now defrost my freezer :j:j:j
Most of it is fish so I am making a huge fish pie, I have smoked fish, plain line caught cod, Basa fillets and some tiger prawns. The topping will be defrosted three veg mash that I made last week with ys carrots, potatoes and swede. I'll make a home made sauce and top it with cheese
There is also some sausages which will make a fry up with some bits from the fridge or a curry.
The refill will start again tomorrow
Flo, the pepper steaks look lovely. I love those.£36/£240

Well, now all that is left in the freezer are 1 x portion Gnocchi bake, broccoli, spinach, ice cream.
Shop tomorrow to start to refill bits. But I hope to batch cook a lot this month.0 -

Congratulations soworried and Gonzo on getting to defrost point! :T
My freezer mostly has home grown stuff in it so has been difficult to empty with surplus crops to put somewhere! but I have a little more work to do on some old condiments and dried foods but I'm almost there.
I had mix of home grown and frozen meal last night - bought nut cutlet but home grown frozen roasted beetroot slices and added some of the potatoes I dug up a while ago. Not sure about meal tonight yet, am almost permanently on the yog/granola breakfast and cashew butter or grain salads for lunch.
MNR/WP - the new December Waitrose Kitchen is out (frangipane mince pies on the cover) but not so impressed with the recipes and articles this month. No freebies either.0 -
No freebies? I don't like the sound of that kirri, also my jar of cashew butter only lasted about 4 day's, I'm planning a trip to wf sometime before Christmas.
My blender broke today, so no more smoothies for now, dinner was fish from freezer, the last of the kale, frozen veg stir fried with noodles.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Soworried and Gonzo well done on the pre-Christmas defrost.
Dinner tonight was same nut cutlet that Kirri had last night with leeks n peas. Am well stuffed.0 -
I heated through a Sicilan squash thingy from the freezer, and made up some couscous with sundried tomatoes from the fridge and 'squirty' coriander
