    In my cupboards

    custard powder -
    oats -
    sponge flour -
1 packet of coconut flour -
    Self raising flour -
    [STRIKE]Plain flour - [/STRIKE]
    coconut oil x 2 -
    PG tips and Nescafe -
    basmati rice -
boil in the bag basmati rice -
    1 packet tilda plain rice
    5 packets tilda coconut rice
    [STRIKE]Brie [/STRIKE]
    Sultanas

As expected - the rice total has increased, and only two items used up. I can no longer get the curry paste I always used, so I'm not making the curries that I used to.

I used the last of the plain flour to make Welsh cakes with some of the sultanas.

The good news is that the food I am now buying each month is being eaten by the best before dates. The only items entering the list are things that were already in stock.

Hi, this month, I will keep it more flexible and aim to use up freezer drawer contents. By the end of the month, to achieve 2 empty drawers from 4. (1/4/18 was 1.5 drawers empty).

April 2018 challenge results = 2 empty drawers from 4*.

*Removed a lot of vegetables on the 30th April to the fridge to use up this week.

    Thanks caronc,

I am wondering whether that will be the case for me. The turnips that were removed from the freezer last Monday have provided many uses e.g. as a "potato" substitute in recipes:

    - "chips",
    - mash mixture with added ingredients to use up,
    - potato type breads (plain or savoury) to use up a flour substitute, frozen cheese and "old" garlic powder.

Still more baked ones in the freezer.
