Well the answer is - not much apparently. Had to laugh at email while at dinner last night asking how I'd enjoyed my curry takeaway:rotfl:
He's eaten his sandwiches. Am going to have to count off the whole freezer to identify anything else. I think some rice has gone.
He's taken out the chicken breasts I asked him to. But there are loads of curry leftovers, so I'll do the chicken in a Provençal sauce for tomorrow night when he gets back from diving.
I'll update between rugby:DGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -

I have a rule to use up what I have in the fridge, freezer and cupboard at least for one week, every six weeks. That way, stuff is used up before the 'Best by' date and save money too. My mother used to believe, any one can cook a meal when you have enough food stuff. When you have a bit of this, and little of that, you need imagination and creative nature to make dinner.0

A little space appearing on a couple of shelves. I need to move things around, the aim being to completely empty one of the upright freezers before the vegetables and fruit start coming in from my plot. I've never quite managed it in previous years and have always ended up letting the chickens have last years fruit and vegetables when the new crop is harvested.
I just need to focus the mind on using up what is there and be a bit more creative, it would also save me some money.
Out
Lunch a bit of mackerel, the last in the pack with a salad, DH had the last of the cheese plus water biscuits and a salad
Tea Half an uncooked turkey carcass, it went in the slowcooker and I made a stew with dumplings for DH and a curry for myself plus turkey soup with the bits and the leftover stock for tomorrow's lunch. Just need to get some bread rolls out tomorrow. Almost forgot - the dog had all the other edible bits - I try to waste nothing.
A pack of frozen apple slices, added cinnamon and sweetner for DH, none for me, microwaved and I put greek yogurt on the top.
A sultana and apricot tea loaf I'd forgotten I'd made a few weeks ago, that will get eaten over the next few days.
