Thanks kirri! Will pick that up lol, I asked for another my waitrose card when chasing up my first complaint, still not had it, been using a temp one I think the card is giving double discount on essential items.
Had a smoothie for breakfast, lunch was chicken and bean soup from waitrose apparently beans are good for cholesterol lol and fish fillets, a tiny bit of leftover rice and the last 4 baby beetroots, oh and some cookies from the freezer.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

We stayed in Cowes and it was perfect for us(we have stayed all over Island)We have been to mill we have one locally here so I was interested in Calbourne.
There growing season is much longer than mine and at least 5 degrees warmer.
We do have our car as it is easy to get around especially for mr WP with his mobility would be no good for us.
The lavender farm is worth a visit and the donkey sanctuary.Weight loss challenge 66lb to go /59lb's lost
Grocery Budget January £150/£175
Feb £150/0 -

Do you use your local mill for flour? I use Shipton Mill flour and weirdly the bread I bought in the IOW although sometimes using the IOW flour they used Shipton Mill too. I feel guilty buying bread as I usually make it but do get the odd loaf if tired/busy etc - I had the Island Bakers walnut and rye bread when I was there - lovely! There's an artisan bakery in Cowes I'd like to find too. Never seen Jackson's bread in Waitrose but I rarely buy bread from a supermarket, more likely to be tempted and weaken if I see an individual bakers! Was impressed with their fields of crops - we walked cross country over the field footpaths, was extremely hilly.. growing season here is fairly long, not sure how theirs compares. I've picked lots this week including courgettes still but looks like first proper frost will hit Monday night here. Adding the sanctuary and lavender farm to the list - I saw that was just North of Arreton iirc. Did you go to Godshill? (think that was where I read about a lot of food places, organic farm etc).
Food here today - lazy day I think food wise.
Breakfast - usual yoghurt, granola, oj
Lunch - last of the bread with the fresh made peanut butter
Dinner - probably lots of veg and pasta or lots of veg and tofu/rice.
I may cook up a batch of courgettes today and freeze before they go off, as the fridge is a bit overloaded and they won't last too long. They seem to work fine in pasta and if I use them with pesto it means I have a ready cooked veg to chuck in with no more cooking.
Need to make a cake this weekend, not made one in weeks now plus have some eggs to use up. Probably do orange syrup cakes.0 -
