Late night as Live at the Castle inspired some music listening online and a new playlist has emerged. Including songs that are in the current Top 10 from artists I'd never heard of before
The signs of age are so there! :rotfl:
Washing machine on again this morning and DS's uniform is now all ready for next term, excepting the need for new shirts, bag and probably shoes. Buying big in the PE and blazer department has lasted 2 years so far and stuff actually fits him now :rotfl:
Free car valet done and looking lovely.
Financials:
- bank account checked - mortgage interest goes out tomorrow
- freepostcodelottery (day) - checked
- Nectar adpoints - looks like 59 is my lot for this week
- Nectar Canvass - nada
- Nectar Search - reached the 100 max for this month :j
- Nectar card - up at £73.24
- Inbox Pounds - up at £8.22
- Qmee - nothing to add as yet
So that's all the good stuff.
The not so good stuff:
- opened the garage side door and the centre bar stayed put, whilst the outer wood opened  It's broken, badly. Neighbour heard the glass go and being the fab DIYer that he is has nailed a sheet of ply over it, so at least it's weatherproof-ish. 25 years of it north facing probably has alot to do with it, but can't get away from the fact it needs a replacement - along with the window next to it.
- he also asked about the birds and the eaves as for a good few years now they've been getting in and nesting. There's quite a bit of the vent stuff pulled out, plus the rotten end of the fascias/soffitts. So I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet on that and get it sorted before next Spring. Had quotes maybe 2 years ago and it was about £2,500 in all as I knew then they were on their way out.
It won't delay debt repayment, but I may reduce the mortgage OPs as a) summer and expected less income and b) don't want to dip the emergency fund (since car sale) below £5k. At least that is the last of the long term improvements the house needs, anything else is just cosmetic. Maybe not garden hard landscaping, but that's for another year/decade :rotfl:
Goodness, what an expensive month so far and now this - which will be instead of a holiday and I'm feeling ok about that. I've booked time off from work out of my diary and that will remain. See if I can get at least the door/window job done in that time.
Eye/head similar to yesterday, less disturbances though, more half head feels ok, other half feels...erm...odd shall we say. Not sure whether to cancel college interview or go to it and if I can't start Sept, maybe I can defer a year if I need to. Got to sort this health issue out first.
Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Go to the interview. Maybe you'll get the sympathy vote. You know how at the end interviewers normally ask if there's anything to add? A friend of mine once felt the need to tell them that she could normally use full sentences. It can't be that bad! I like that INOD :rotfl:
Yep, essay thing done (it was 300 words, good job I re-read the letter), got a nice aching hand as it had to be hand-written (but I word processed it first so I could chop/change, get it right on screen before copying it onto paper.)
Next job is going to be fun...crawling in the heat of the loft to find my old business qualification certificates.
Cycled another 5 miles on the exercise bike (as I have done the last 2 days) and drinking squash like it's going out of fashion
We've had the Red Arrows fly overhead to close the River Festival, some old military plane (that I swear we saw a few weeks ago in Dorset) and some marvellously deep rumbles of thunder with about 10 rain spots.
A No Spend Day too - though I've emailed off to get someone out to quote for the garage side door and window and get that moving.
Working at home tomorrow, nothing billable at the moment, but plenty to keep me occupied and a really busy rest of week is scheduled, so I'll be planning that out to the nth degree to make it go smoothly. 3 and a half weeks to some proper time off.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Good evening,
Another hot and sunny day and eve here, but less humid thankfully.
GP appointment - being sent for blood tests and told to take aspirin for the time being. Blood pressure, weight, pulse etc are all good. Nothing obvious for them to diagnose so far but I now think it's something to do with a nerve at the back of my neck. Might be worth me seeing the Osteo (another £40).
Broken door - chap has been out this afternoon to measure up door and window and awaiting a quotation for that.
Work - a couple of additional bits have dropped into this week, so lots of billable work to do. :j
Financials:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
- Nectar adpoints - just done the double pointer, so at 15 with plenty more to do
- Not looked at Canvass
- Nectar card value - up at £74.03
- Inbox Pounds - up at £8.44
- Qmee - yay, 11p in the pot today
Think that's all from today. Trying to keep things steady and not stressy.Back on the DFW Wagon:

hi. Been MIA but caught up now. Licked my own backside tonight so will be here all the time now lol
My life is same as yours. As soon as I reckon I'm on an even keel then something else goes wrong. I was about £800 for fascias, soffets and gutters but it was workmates of DD's so got it a bit cheaper. £2.5k sounds a lot5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
