    Evening folks! :)

Woke up all bouncy this morning and got on with house jobs from the list:

    - meter readings done and in spreadsheet - electric up as suspected
    - washing put away
    - bedding washed and all away
    - parcel sent off
    - business banking done and paid myself
    - Accounts done, just need to print and file

    Financials done early:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery (day) checked
    - Nectar adpoints checked - still 66
    - Canvass not looked at
    - Nectar card - still £74.43
    - Inbox pounds - up at £9.26, it's oh so slow chasing this next £20
    - Qmee - not throwing anything up either, still just 22p in the pot

With good intentions to cycle and do the ironing later, I went off out to an appointment to view an office and have agreed to take it on for 6 months to start with. I've been looking around and weighing up risks, finances, business growth, timing and DS's age for awhile now as I'd written about some time ago. It means I will start working proper full-time and can sell/bill accordingly from September. DS will need a mobile phone so I can let him know my whereabouts and time due home if plans change whilst he's at school but it won't be the latest iPhone or even an older version iPhone. I might give him my Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 as I'm due a change anyway. I am excited and nervous, but it won't affect debt repayments and I'll lend the business money from my emergency fund to start the process. I've already found a lovely second hand little sofa that's 'free to a good home' locally on gumtree, which would be great for soft seating in the office :D

Is it MSE? I hope so - it's a calculated risk and I've drawn up a new business plan which will hopefully up my income as well as cover costs. I've spent a fair bit of time today on that side of things. If the economy is on the up as figures recently suggest, then I'm hitting this right.

Just as I'd finally finished, DS runs upstairs to the bathroom leaving blood splattering everywhere - he's bent his big toe on the lounge carpet as he got up from the sofa and it's bleeding from the nail bed right across and up one side. It's swollen too underneath. A call to 111 ensued as DS doesn't really feel that sort of pain and it was still bleeding heavily nearly an hour later (and still slowly bleeding now even with foot up high than his body). Home management for now, but I suspect a hospital visit tomorrow - he's broken toe and finger bones before (as is common with Aspie and hyper mobility apparently) and we've not realised until a day or so later when it turns blue/black due to lack of pain/obvious breaks. I whizzed up to Sbugs to get some lint pads - £1 spent.

Time for dinner after that little drama was over and still managing to combine oven use - DS sausages and mash and veg, me salad with new pots and quiche.

Finally time to sit down and chill out - exercise bike and ironing will have to wait. And the dusting and hoovering. :D

I know, I don't really sit still for long do I? :rotfl:

A quickie update...you can guess where I've been for the last 4 hours...A&E. His nail bed and side were still bleeding (albeit slowly) when I checked it again, so off we went. X-ray and a discussion as to whether they needed to take the nail off  Outcome was they've steri-stripped it and hope to save the nail, dressed the whole toe and he's living like a Lord with his foot up demanding OJ (and taken some soluble painkillers...as it beginning to 'hurt a bit').

Email also arrived to go and check the freebie sofa out tomorrow - less than a mile away, taking rope with me as it should go in the back of the car with the boot roped down somehow! Glad of the empty-ish garage to store it in for now.

Bedtime and hoping for a relaxing Sunday. :)

Oh wow A&E on a Saturday night - hope it wasn't too traumatic, still 4 hours wasn't as bad as it could have been I guess. Glad that all as okay as it could be, LOL about the demanding patient :rotfl:

  • If it's anything like our local a&e, DS may be traumatised after exposure to so many new life stories! He'll obviously require excessive amounts of pampering.

He's doing well thanks Beanie, albeit complaining he has to walk like a penguin to get around :rotfl:

Not long til I whizz off to see the sofa. Rope and blankets at the ready :D

Was busy but many casualties had 3-4 people with them. We were seen in Triage at 1.5 hrs, then moved so didn't have the pleasure of any 'unsociable' company, 2 police officers followed us with their patient through to X-ray then Treatment, so we wiled away some time chatting to them.

Breakfast on the sofa, mostly horizontal, go get this, get that...have reminded him of his p's and q's. He might be injured, but he's not getting away with being impolite :rotfl:

Don't encourage him!! :rotfl::rotfl: Good job he doesn't know about my diary ;)

Just totting up car parking spends recently  £4.50 for 3 hrs last night (yes I know we overran and I'd run out of change :o).

Sounds like the time I took my son to A&E with a suspected broken right wrist, the doctor kindly pointed out on the xray where the break was. He then pointed out where it had been broken before, my sons response to this was "it was the left wrist I broke before!"

I was the same as you MIT, when he complained of a painful wrist I just told him to man up and take a painkiller :o:o
