Bloody hell on tap prices. Is he providing the taps??

Yes it includes him providing the taps. Breakdown is:

£150 for the taps and pop up plug
    £130 for labour
    £56 VAT

    Total £336.

The bathroom sink items won't be an easy job and since the last pop up plug wasn't that good quality, I guess he's gone for something more robust.

I was pleased with the boiler and fire service he did - here 2 hrs, fixed a wire on the fire, cleaned it out thoroughly - total bill £90. Perhaps he's making up on that job a bit?

Provide your own taps and ask for the VAT off for a cash deal. As for £130 to fit a set of taps, I really must be in the wrong trade.

Wow, an even later night update, with work only just wrapped up for the day - delivery during the day, catch up and planning tonight. It slows down tomorrow with working at home, but I want to fit lots of those 'things to do' in to keep the plates spinning on everything.

    Financials:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
    - Nectar - will look at all that tomorrow hopefully
    - Inbox Pounds - up a tiny bit to £9.69
    - Qmee - nothing new

My monthly use and pay off CC has rolled over for the month. A bigger bill with house insurance and Sat Nav on it, but all budgeted for during August, just need to set the payment up in the morning when I check the bank account. :)

I hope to make progress on the office front tomorrow as I missed a phone call today and just got the ansaphone when I rang back.

DS wants to go to a Model Shop locally, so we'll fit that in and it'll give him something to do. Toe dressing changed tonight and is looking quite alot better.

A no spend day and I should have done the food shop tonight, but ran out of time and very tired. May have to relent and buy milk from the corner shop in the morning to see us through.

That's it for today...a good night's sleep, no alarm clock and although a busy day planned tomorrow, it'll at least be less full on from morning til night. I can take tea breaks in the sun ;) or knowing my luck, the sunny weather will break :rotfl:

Downhill to Friday, yay! :) Hope everyone has a good day. :)

    Evening all,

The rain has arrived, but not before I enjoyed 5 min tea breaks in the sunshine earlier. :D

I started with a list of 29 things to do this morning  broken down into 'needing the car/going out to do', 'at home to do' and 'work to do'. Overall, I'm down to 13 left to do, so pretty pleased with that.

Things that I'd listed on my diary and done:
-College folder labelled and paperwork inserted ready for Sept
-July accounts printed and expenses receipts reconciled
-Mortgage capital payment set up of £811 for tomorrow
-Monthly use and pay off CC payment set up for 18th August
-Regular saver amount amended to £200 per month

As part of going to town with DS:
    -£20 in £2 coins banked
-Collected parcel from Sorting Office that I missed earlier in week
-Used 2 x £3 vouchers for Boots NO.7 make up and they were on BOGOHP (half price) so now well stocked in that department but spent £33 on 6 items

    Work:
-First stage of obtaining the office passed :j We are now proceeding to contracts and all being well I shall be getting keys and taking it on from 14th August. This falls during the 3 days hols I'm taking - so that will be a nice rest then (not) :rotfl: :D. I happen to have kept the following week clear too, which will be useful for sorting all the things that are no doubt going to need doing. :)
    - Bought 4 glasses and 2 mugs for £2.50 in Wilkos to put in office :) DS stopped me buying a £2 wall clock - saying I didn't need one as the time is on the computer - he's more MSE than I give him credit for sometimes. Whilst there, I got a refund on a watering can rose to replace my split one with that didn't fit. So £1.75 back made that a total spend of 75p.

Not so pleased that I had to buy milk at the corner shop at £1.39, but needs must and I'll stock up during the food shop tonight.

I've still a fair bit of work stuff to do, but the key thing today was having the business plan scrutinised and that's resulted in tweaking a couple of figures. It is looking really good and importantly achievable. :j

Had problems with my mobile phone this week and finally rang the fruit provider, seems a cell is out so I go from no service/1 bar at best when network is busy up to full service off peak. I'll be getting a credit to my account which will reduce my business bill next month :T Still need to sort DS out with a phone but plenty of time for that.

    Financials then:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcode lottery (both) checked
    - Nectar adpoints - checked but oh dear, only 8 points :(
    - Nectar canvass - some big ones in, hope to do some tonight
    - Nectar card - up at £75.78, 202 points from Sbugs CC use last month added
    - Inbox Pounds - up a tad at £9.80
    - Qmee - 10p added, up at 32p

In a nutshell, productive day on all fronts. Oh and got 2 loads of washing done, line dried and put away too. :) I was up at 5am though (no idea why stupid o'clock without the alarm).

Last week of the food budget, it is a little out in my sig as some items in Sbugs I should have added to it and forgot :o Unbelievable it's August tomorrow  I noticed it getting dark at 9.15pm here last night - those nights are definitely drawing in already.

Hope everyone has had a good day and Early Finish Friday is in my sights :D

No secret Alex - 3 lists to start with and each in priority order.

Take the fixed events that couldn't be moved and work everything in around those. So knowing I was going to take DS to town, I looked at what else I could do whilst en route or in town. Similarly at home, I saw it was due to rain later on today so got the washing on and out first thing.

I've really not sat down much these past few days and am shattered to be honest. Even today, I wrote my post and went off food shopping and filled up with fuel too. Another job off the list ;)

Food spend was high again at £27.56 with alot of fresh foods - it must be those pushing the overall up and a few bits to keep DS going at Mum's tomorrow.

Went to Sbugs after as had a 33p brand match voucher and extra points off something or other :rotfl: Spent £6.34 in there. So overall total this week £33.90  That's almost wreckless!

I've still got to collect my repeat prescription and have the blood tests done. Looking like middle of next week as things stand. Not even sure where the form is now :o Sure it'll emerge when I tidy up tomorrow night/Saturday morning.

Finally can relax now too before an early night and an early start tomorrow. :)

I've tried lists, notifications on my 'phone, alarms, plans, Gantt charts (yes, I kid you not) I could go on but nothing works, just very disorganised. Then there is the fact I will spend hours upon hours making the plans only to not execute them, being a bit of a perfectionist with writing it's usually written out about three of four times, further wasting time that could be spent actually doing something on the list. :o

The perfectionist streak is something I've learnt to tone right down and tolerate imperfection. I still have standards though ;)

I seem to have been given an organised and efficient streak, though I too can easily procrastinate for hours (or days) if something isn't quick and easy or appealing. Think that's human nature - I'm motivated by what's at the other end of the thing to do. Be it crossing off the list, having the food we need.

At the moment, it's the thought my Mum will be here Saturday and I won't be sat working or doing housework or running around in the car etc - stuff has to be done. Even the dogs have had shorter walks to accommodate. :o

Now on my To Do list is bed! And I'm late! :rotfl:
