The debt feels like it's coming down now - can't believe how far I've come since October.

The car has moved over to the business, which feels like cheating a bit and that will need a lump sum to pay off in April 2016, but factored into the business plan and income/outgoings, so am hopeful about that being saved from business growth.

It's a bit like walking on one of those gymnasts beams at the moment - a wobble either way with an expensive emergency at home or a dire business month and I could be in pushing back the CC pay off zone - but there's mortgage OPs that would reduce first so there's a bit of wiggle room if I need it. Hopefully not though! :)

Meeting the mortgage capital payments and doing OPs has been amazing this far too - £5986 off this year. :)

I do feel I'm leaking money at the moment as seems to be something most days, especially compared to previous months. I think get settled in the office, get DS back to school and the straight and narrow will be just that with routine again. :D

Busy day and evening, with all going well. Not sure I like getting up at 5.30am though  Still, whilst I'm this busy I'm not spending money on anything and had a No Spend Day :j

Some of the paperwork for the office has arrived today, so I need to spend a bit of time going through that. Added to the To Do list.

    Financials:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery (both) checked
    - Nectar adpoints - nothing new to do, still on 19 points
    - Nectar Search & Canvass - no movement
    - Nectar card up at £77.89
    - Inbox pounds up at £10.34
    - Qmee still on 44p

Think that's all to report today and hope everyone has had a good one. :)

Early morning update as £570 has gone to the CC and sig updated :j

Caught up on work stuff late last night and all ready for another busy day.

Reminder to self - take electricity reading and input on supplier site today.

Have a good day all and I'll catch up again later. :)

    Evening Diary!

Another busy day, but I owe less on the CC so a very good one :D In the post were 2 BT 0% offers from H@lifax and MBNA...but I have nothing to transfer, that is a good feeling :D

Financials don't make exciting reading yet again as I've had little time to do anything besides work and the urgent stuff from the To Do list.

    - Bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
    - Nectar adpoints - nothing new, still on 19
    - Nectar Search - sits on 15/100
    - Nectar Canvass - still not done anything here
    - Nectar card - on £77.89
    - Inbox Pounds - up a tad again at £10.42
    - Qmee - still just 44p

This is looking like being the norm with the increase in work, plus I'm working on Saturday as well. An excellent billable week which takes priority over the little things, but they are still important and I'm trying to keep up with the quick wins.

Had another No Spend Day as well :j

I've got a P!necone survey to do for £3 by Friday so that's at the top of the To Do list now. Electricity meter reading done and submitted to supplier. One side of garage cleared in readiness for the new door and window going in tomorrow.

I've still got quite alot of work to do, but am working at home tomorrow so will catch up with that then.

Also to do tomorrow, time permitting:
    - Email fruit mobile phone provider to get the credit applied for the signal being down last week
    - Finish reading/sign the office paperwork
    - Get those blood tests done
    - Food shop
    - Get washing done/change towels/empty bins
    - Speak to opticians - not convinced my contact lenses are the right powers still and need to order as on last pair so that needs sorting pdq

Heading for an early night and no alarm clock either - ahhh bliss :D

Hope everyone has had a good day. :)

A half way house update whilst lunch is in the oven (a 99p double pepperoni pizza :D ).

Garage side door and window are in. He's also replaced for free, the seal on the french doors as it was split - that's why it was drafty during the winter. :)

    - 3 loads of washing done and line dried. Bins and towels done.

    - Sight test booked for DS and an appointment for me as I'm not happy with my vision still.

Mobile phone sorted for DS. This will be an ongoing cost to the budget of £17 a month but I feel worth it as he needs to have one and for a Galaxy S4 Mini with 500mg data, 500 mins and 500 texts I thought that was quite a good deal. Data will auto shut off if he uses that up, the mins and texts are having a cap of £1 extra put on, so he cannot use more than £18 tops. He'll need a case and that's been added to his 'Back to School' shopping list.

I've sorted internet for the office in the form of having a mobile router that works for up to 5 devices, perfect for holidays too as it'll save a spend on hotel wi-fi (if and when...). At £16 a month on the business account it's a better option/cost than the managed office one which is site fixed anyway.

Have a list of things to do outside of home this afternoon and now added to the list is sorting an outside light for my Mum, seems the PIR has gone and it's constantly on. My electrician friend will hopefully be able to do that one for me.

I have done some work too, honest ;):D and even without the alarm set, I was awake and up around 6am  A lovely day though, hot sunshine and tea breaks outdoors. :)

Most of the small financials are still to do, except I checked the bank account early and did the P!necone survey to get that £3 on its way to me. :) And I did a 100 point Nectar Canvass survey as it was the post product test one (and another to come in 8 weeks).

Onwards and upwards with two-thirds of the day to go and alot to get on with!

Well done for being over half way with your credit card. However, your son's mobile phone seems rather expensive; does he really need such a fancy phone, or would a SIM only have been a better option?
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

Thanks Alex. I'm about to update my sig again as I had to pop into town to get some envelopes for work and I'd got another £20 stash of £2 coins, so off the CC it went! :D

Son needs a phone to start with, mine I found out has another 11 months to run, otherwise I'd have given him that and probably gone the SIM only rolling 30 day contract type route. In the event, with having to supply him with a phone and it being the one area of peer pressure he was worried about, I've opted for this deal instead. He doesn't want a phone, it's me that wants him to have it with my work changes.

    * * *

Food shop done and spent £19.71 including a big bag of dog food - so a cheap week for a change. I haven't meal planned for next week yet either due to time, so a good week for using up bits and pieces from the freezer and cupboard I think.

Been out tonight to see some friends who've moved house - on street parking in a controlled zone so spent £1.60 on that

Long work day tomorrow so I'd better get to bed. :)

    Evening all,

After a long and muggy day, the rain has finally arrived and I'm pleased it's cooling down a bit. I'm not only completely shattered from this week, but Mum was at hospital as an emergency today - she may have a blood clot. So it's now 4 days of blood thinning injections and a scan on Tuesday. I need to move work to help out and be around for DS too, having split the hospital runs between DB and myself, so my weeks hols is going to start a day early.

    Financials:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery (both) checked
    - Nectar adpoints - not much this week, but up to 37 points
    - Nectar Canvass and Search - no movement
    - Nectar card up at £78.39
    - Inbox Pounds - up at £10.53
    - Qmee - 11p added, pot at 55p
    - P!necone - points added, will convert to £3 for PayPal

I've had a No Spend Day again, but need to fill up with fuel - will do that tomorrow.

Think that's all the news from here :)
