INODI was just thinking whilst posting on your diary, could I make any extra headway to close the gap up a bit - I'll give it a good go - you're on! :D

Thanks StepUp - I can't stop smiling and still can't quite believe it :D

    Evening Diary :D

Still smiling :rotfl: as the CC balance today read NIL :T even though another poor day for health and I'm another year older . Pressies of a house alarm - I love practical things so am chuffed with that - and quite a sum of money, so that will be banked and will help the emergency fund climb back to it's £5k, having raided it a bit to pay the CC off. DS got up extra early and made me a lovely cuppa too :D

Visited a hypnotherapist this morning who thinks using Applied Psychology over a 6-8 week period of 1 session per week would help. At £85 a time I'm going to think about it. Will see if the reflexology (much cheaper) helps on Saturday first.

Family hospital appointment this afternoon, so I've been hosting and we've been treated to a take away dinner. A nice treat off cooking, but copious rounds of tea made :rotfl:

I've phoned the London hospital to change the testing appointment and that's now booked for 20th April (was late March whilst we're away) and also cancelled the local hospital next Neuro appointment there as no longer needed.

Not given much thought to what my next goal is, but changing my sig to reflect it is important to me - it's been a major motivator and is an exciting part of the journey to update it and see the progress in writing. I think some extra mortgage stats will make there way into the sig too :D

Tonight I ought to do the food shop as it's Parents Eve tomorrow and I'll be client facing during the day after an early GP appointment. I used hopi candles on my ears last night which seemed to help a bit, so will do those again as well.

Watching the pennies will definitely continue :)

    New sig done :j

Going to keep this diary going as the goals I'm aiming for have been part and parcel of getting debt free too. I'm at home on the DFW board and would like to stay here :)

I don't have an overall savings target, just going to keep growing it, whilst continuing the home improvements. This year's goals are to:

    - Finish the garden project
    - Save for replacement fascias, soffits and guttering
    - Redecorate study

I'll also continue to OP on the mortgage and try and catch INOD up a bit - think I'll need a windfall or a lottery win to do it :rotfl: But I like a challenge and it's great motivation. Am always bringing up the rear, so nothing new :D

    The savings are currently split:
    £5,178.21 - Emergency Fund (4% interest on £5k)
    £3,200 - 4% Regular Saver
£140.15 - ISA - if it arrived safely! Still need to check
£10.37 - Spanish Bank Current Account - it's a transfer account used for the mortgage interest DD but still my money :D

The Emergency Fund will get raided a bit further to under £5k due to holiday spending money, but should get back up again over the next 2-3 months. :)

Short term goals for the time being as I foresee a spendy summer with garden and the August holiday. :)

I am very pleased you are keeping this diary going :)

'The March to Financial Freedom' has a sort of 'Onward Christian Soldiers' feel to it. I could hear the drums and the brass band too :p !! I am not overly 'Godly' but I do like the mental images the name gave to me. Very apt I thought :) Debt clearance is a part of the 'March' isn't it? That particular enemy is now slayed :) !!

We can picture Ali standing victorious over debt placing her trustee sword back into the scabbard as she moves to tackle the next baddy :T !!

I wish you an effective and speedy solution on the health issues in whatever form that comes as, of course it will and Many Happy Returns to the Birthday Girl. :)

The 'March' is all-encompassing.....the March is all :D !!

I missed your birthday!! You dropped enough hints about card exchanges :o:o:o

I went to bed at the crack of early last night or I would have been here to wish you happy birthday!! We don't call it a year older. In my clan it is a year better :D We mature like fine wine ;)

March on Ali... we are all behind you. A ramshackle bunch of limping soldiers we may be.. but we are all cheering very loudly :D xxx
