Ali, MSE has most certainly changed my mindset. Before the debt issues, I had a want it, see it, buy it regardless of whether it's a good deal or not attitude. These days it's more a want it, see one at the right price, buy it, enjoy it for a bit and sell on for a profit.
Just bought a nice violin and bow from an auction for just over £300, the bow alone is worth about £400.
I hope your mother likes the flowers for Mothering Sunday. I've not bought mine anythingbut offered to do the Sunday roast instead, a part of that may have been for selfish reasons so we can have something other than beef. :rotfl: Unfortunately, my wife has decided she doesn't like the "idea" of being a mother after our son bought back a card he'd made for her on Friday at nursery. Not sure whether to give her what I'd bought on son's behalf now or not.

Sad to read about Mrs K and the card, she's meant to be very proud of him for making it. I'd still wrap the pressie and get Little K to give it to her with a hug and kiss
Well done on the violin, what a bargain :T You're in a great niche to make some serious money - when your health allows. Keep those positives in mind and they'll keep you going
I've had a wonderful couple of hours in the Reflexologist's hands (literally). The list of problems is rather lengthy, but I feel wonderfully relaxed and shall stay that way for the rest of the weekend, at least
Am back again next week. Well worth the £30 - an investment in me
Postman has brought the neck scan appointment letter for this Thursday coming  so I shall be clearing my diary to attend that. Another £47 for the train ticket
In the meantime, I've got a batch chilli and bolognaise to cook, followed by pamper eve and PJsBack on the DFW Wagon:

Thanks, Ali.Fortunately, she accepted the gift graciously from our son and only told me how much it bothered her after he'd gone to bed. I remember feeling very proud last year when he brought home a Father's Day card for me and I'm starting find her disinterest quite sad to be honest. As for tomorrow, I'll let our son give her the gift and hope for the best.
The violin was certainly a bargain and I was reminded today of when I bought my second violin aged about 7 by my mother, for apparently I asked if I would be able to work in a violin shop when I was a grownup.According to my mother that was about the only time I showed an interest in doing anything outside studying as a child. Might not have achieved that particular ambition but I am enjoying buying and selling them when they turn up.
Glad you had a good time at the reflexologist and that you have an appointment with the hospital. Really hoping they are able to give you some answers, even if the MSE side of me is  at the train fare.2018 totals:

Happy Mothers Day to all us wonderful mums :A and hope it goes well in your household Alex
Not yet had a cuppa made for me but DS won't get away with that, I'll make sure of it :rotfl:. Choccies and a card that my Mum sorted for him too
I've stuck my head out of DFW and posted on the Singles MFW thread. I've lurked and lusted :rotfl: to be on there in the past, but here is home
Had my pamper bath and bits last night, snoozed off feeling so relaxed and had an early night.Doodle stole (and ate) the used cucumber slices :rotfl:
Mortgage spreadsheet fiddling has taken place and I am planning an £850 capital payment to it in April - but will be when we get back from holiday, so Tuesday 7th after Easter. Annoying to lose a few days reduction in interest, unless I phone it through from abroad - which will probably cost me more in the phone call. Shall be more thoughtful in the future and plan holidays around mortgage payments :rotfl:
Today is pottering. Few housey bits, few work bits and a gammon joint roast for dinner tonight.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Thank you MiT and only 2 short weeks now until the holiday :j
Been a productive rest of the day, quite alot of admin bits out of the way and yet another list written - mostly stuff I could cross off as I'd done them, but hey, makes me feel better :rotfl:
- Oddments of ironing done and washing put away
- Elec meter read and spreadsheet updated
- List of phone calls to make - Kings chasing me to confirm I'm attending Tuesday's scan, T@alk T@alk trying to bill me for a tv box that I haven't opened, so need to return that, well overdue as I forgot, and a few re-organising times/dates for stuff as things keep changing
- Work stuff mostly ready for tomorrow
- DS's school bits all ready with his all important final options choices form and a PE top that belongs to someone else (that I've washed)
- Final March birthday card addressed and stamped, ready to post
DIY friend came over this afternoon, so copious amounts of tea drunk but I didn't make one cup, they did. Spoilt. Rough schedule of dates for garden work to start again done, costs of bits needed worked out. Motivated further by them staying for a roast dinner with us tonight :rotfl: they'll now be fitting the house alarm too
Dishwasher is on yet again  but didn't get any cleaning or hoovering done. Just about keeping on top of the need to do stuff at the moment. That will have to do
Early night again I think.Back on the DFW Wagon:
