I see where you are coming from. But if OP was a woman and you gave advice to let this go, I think this thread would gain half a dozen pages in an hour full of people telling you it was unacceptable to have to tolerate being touched at work.

    • Even if your time is not your own, your body is yours
    • Being nice to people does not mean putting up with being touched if you do not want this
    • One thing you should expect entirely your own way is not being touched if you don't want it
    • If you cannot get the touching stopped without having to throw a hissy fit you are being pushed too far.
Man or woman, it is al the same

    I agree with this ^^^^^

Striders attitude tells me the problem lies with him. He is a wanna be alpha male with a bit of judo training to reinforce the fact. Ask for the contact to stop and then seek councilling for the remaining issues

It's not OP's fault this guy is behaving inappropriately towards him!

break his wrist and bring him to his knees (martial arts training).

    I favour this option.;)

OP I don't even know why you let it get to this point. Just tell him to stop changing you work station as you've it set up the way you like, also tell him you would prefer if he didn't touch you as you don't like it.

Sometimes people are naturally touchy feely and a quick word will do no harm. If you don't tell him how will he know.

He has no problem with touching, just when it is someone he considers inferior that is doing it. The MD can touch as much as he likes.

Are you sure that's what the OP means?

Gosh I didn't see that....the OP seems to be the one with the ego problems.
