Soft appeal to PE? - Done
Complaint to principal? - If you mean Aldi - Ongoing (2 letters sent and received)
    POPLA code? - Awaiting)
    POPLA appeal? - Awaiting code
POPLA draft? - I have a draft 90% completed but am advised not to post it until I have a code
POPLA submission? - Obviously not yet

Stonky, thanks for de-fogging my brain!

As soon as you get that code, I'll start preparing the Paxo:)

PE goosed; well and truly cooked (or something similar)!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Why do they spend so much time defending the indefensible and in the process peeing off the one party in all of this most important to their business - their customer.

And just how many rogue parkers do they actually 'catch'?

If I was a 'rogue parker', they'd never catch me - I'd just roll on into their car park, go and do my business anywhere about town (other than at Aldi), get back and then get the flock out of there within 90 (or however many) minutes, even parking in their disabled or mother and child bays, and let the poor old, elderly, disabled, genuine customer sate the PE greed for wonga, by picking up 'my tab' for a 5 minute overstay, just because they can't move as fast as me.

And I'd be considered totally innocent in all of this nonsense - in and out in 90 minutes.

    Go figure!

Our local Aldi is a prime example. Well away from the PE entry/exit cameras there is a pedestrian entrance leading onto the street. So you park up, use that entrance to walk into town, return and drive out within the time limit. PE would be none the wiser.

  • Doubt they would be legal to use.

    That's it...push me into 12 pages.......lol
  • Im just throwing it out there, but why dont you just call like she asked and see what she has to say? From the excerpts you have written she has said that there are other avenues to explore - why make it difficult for yourself - or are you not wanting this to come to an end??

Seems to me you can ask all your questions on the phone, but the mere fact that they havent said that they wont help tells me that they actually might help??

What do you have to lose? Apart from the drama and stress that you say all of this is causing you.
  • Oh I see - common sense advice doesnt even get a response! :rotfl:

If my phone line hadn't been down, I might have been able to respond. Well done on your first 2 posts....

If the advice on here was to call Rachel I would have done but at the end of the day, they either cancel the charge or they don't. If they're not prepared to cancel it on the grounds stated then what 'other options' are they likely to come up with? In a way. I would prefer written communication with them

Rachel can be very aggressive on the phone. She seems to have been brainwashed by Parking Eye.

  • ‘as you have been unable to provide us with a receipt or proof of purchase for the day you received your parking charge, I regret to inform you that I am unable to cancel this notice for you on these grounds’

‘however, there are other options that we may be able to pursue and I would kindly ask you to kindly contact me on xxxx xxxxxx to discuss in full

Why dont you contact them and find out. She said kindly twice - lol! And Tristona - maybe she is aggressive and I am not saying she is or isnt having never spoken to the woman but she is there to do a job and is blatantly trying to do it, but he seems to refuse to help himself! To be honest - I'm getting a bit frustrated just reading his dilly dallying! Like I say -whats the worse than can happen? He rings, he gets no further forward than he is now or maybe just maybe they bring this whole thing to a close?
