Morning all
It's shameful that it's the 6th of March and I still haven't managed a NSDHopefullly I'll do better today. As of tomorrow, any day where I don't use my credit card will be a SFD as it's all budgeted as part of my holiday money, including travel to and from the airport.
Money:
Current account: £20
Savings: £1934.60 (Looks more impressive than it is as I have £144 in there from my neighbour for roof repairs, and I have to remove £144 of my own money for my share)
Food: £6 I've done a top up shop for Mr Mooo and the £6 in there will be for some kind of quick meal when I get home as I get paid the following day
Tonight we're off to the cinema as there's a documentary playing for one night only which Mr Mooo wants to see, so I also need to get packing done and make sure things are ready. No pressure!
Have a lovely Thursday everyone0 -

Hi Moo - sorry I didn't get to say have a nice time before you left (things were a bit busy here) but I hope you are having a really good time. I look forward to hearing all about it when when you get back.

Thanks for looking after things PB, you're an excellent house-sitter
I got back the day before payday with £20 in my wallet and there's still about £13 in there I think :A Payday has been and gone and here's how things stand:
Current account: £309.38
Savings: £1806.99
Food account: £148.35
Car account: £195.18
Christmas/birthday account: £165.81
My credit card is cleared - I didn't use it while I was away and even had currency left - over £300My brother sent the sterling amount to me and kept the cash which worked well for both of us in terms of exchange rates. I didn't buy a lot of souvenirs (I don't see the point in them, I like to take home memories) so the main costs were on eating out (every night!) and one overnight hotel stay to a resort where we could go out at night and see wild turtles
There were only a couple of turtles on the beach as it was the end of the season, but it was amazing to see them. Sadly no photos of that as they are apparently quite easily spooked.
I've upped my food budget to £200 as we were low on many supplies and as I finish up this contract at the end of this month I wanted more money in the account to try and make it stretch. I spent just over £50 yesterday and the cupboards are bursting and thanks to the Halifax cashback offers I earned 10% back on my shop :j I'll get that paid in to my current account at the end of next month.
My savings are looking quite good again thanks to having my £300 left from the holiday. There'll be another boost when my neighbours cough up for their share of the roof repairsI'm due £288 for that. I'm going to be taking a lot of money from there in the coming weeks unless I find some work though
I'm working on a rough budget of £1000 per month so I need to get my CV sorted out today and start firing it off to temp agencies. It's been a slog getting savings together and I don't want to waste them on bills
Hope everyone is ok - I've not been keeping up with diaries, sorry. Best run and get ready for work now. Bah!0
