The cheque still hasn't debited  I know that the builder has received it, but I don't know if he's cashed it. The trouble is that when you switch accounts now using the seven day switching thingie, they close your account for you at the end of the process and I don't want to mess up by having cheques outstanding.
Last day of work today and zero effort made to jobhuntI need to get my butt in gear this afternoon! I'm not gutted about having a couple of weeks off, even if I do end up dipping in to my savings - there's loads I want to get done in the house. A list will surely follow

A list will surely follow
RIGHT! I'm giving myself a week to get as much of this done as I can. Some of it is stuff I need to do today; other bits can wait until later in the week.
On we go...- [STRIKE]Dishes[/STRIKE]
- Washing x all of it!
- Freezer inventory
- [STRIKE]Clean out cat box (one for today)[/STRIKE]
- Post sold craft items
- [STRIKE]Clear out living room bookcases[/STRIKE] and send books to charity shop
- Update CV
- Join/figure out how to work LinkedIn
- Apply for five jobs
- Clean bathroom

Money:
Current account: £100
Purse: £64
Food account: £65.38
Savings: £2163.42
I didn't do well with my NSK challenges last month, but this month we get to set our own as long as we have 15 NSDs and budget for everything.
My current plans are:
Challenges:- 15 NSDs - I won't include food spends in these as I'm at the mercy of Mr Mooo when he forgets he's eaten all the bread
- Post daily on the thread.
- Declutter 100 items from the house. They have to physically leave the building to count - not just sit in the spare room.
- Apply for at least five jobs a week
- Get a job
- Pay for any spends at the coming craft fair only using money from things I've decluttered and sold. No extra spending! :money:
- Transfer bank account to Halifax for the £100 incentive.
- Exercise 20/30 days
Budgets:- All direct debits: £650
- Travel (bus): £40
- Food: £150
- Petrol: £100 (normally much less but we might be visiting family)
- Misc spends: £160
I'm aiming to spend much less than the £160 on miscellaneous things, but it's what I have leftover so I'm going to use it as a measure of what to spend. I normally don't track spending daily at all, so this should help.
I also have the car repairs to pay for, but hopefully this will be covered by what I have in my car account. Anything over that will have to come from the savings account :eek:0 -

My list isn't going so wellStill, more has been done than not so I have to be positive. Today is JOB DAY - the CV is to be done and many things applied for. First though it's off to the garage - when they drove the car the blooming vehicle was quiet like a mouse so they can't fix it if they can't hear it...

Morning all
First, my NSK challenges...
Post daily: 4/30
Decluttering: 24/100
Jobs applied for: 11
Exercise: 3/20
SFD: 4/15
Travel (bus): £5/£40
Food: £23.43/£150
Petrol: 0/£100
Misc spends: 0/£160
That's all ticking along nicelyI'm counting any day where I spend on myself as a spend day (food shopping doesn't count) so being four for four is pretty nice. I think I'll end up spending today though.
I've bought a couple of bits using my Paypal balance this week - my slippers have fallen apart a mere three months after getting them as a gift so I have a lovely pair coming next week.
My decluttering is going well - I'll easily hit my 100 items target once I drop some bags off at the charity shop. I'm only counting things once they leave the flat at this point!
Today's plan is to go to the Post Office and post some sold craft bits then head to the local craft shop to pick up tickets I've won to a craft show next month. The trick will be to leave the shop without buying anything0 -
Money stuff first:
Current account: £148.02
Purse: £25
Food account: £98.40
Savings: £1648.43
The savings have taken a hit due to not having a job at the moment - but I'm due to hear back from a temp one today which would start next week meaning I would only have been unemployed and incomeless for a fortnight, which isn't too bad. It's not going to be anywhere near as well paid as my last job (£600 less a month for full time work based on my rough calculations) but my budget says I can more than deal with that. I'll work out a weekly budget as I'll be getting paid weekly and will post that once I know roughly what my earnings will be. As I've already withdrawn money this month for my bills/food if I get paid prior to the end of the month I'll pop that in savings and work weekly from that point on.
April challenges are going ok...
Post daily: 9/30
Decluttering: 25/100
Jobs applied for: 13
Exercise: 6/20
SFD: 5/15
Travel (bus): £14.50/£40
Food: £51.01/£150
Petrol: £35.28/£100
Misc spends: £64.44/£160
I'd be happier if my miscellaneous spending was lower, but a chunk of that was having to buy new foundation yesterday - £26  I think my bus estimate was too low as well, so I might just cave and get a bus pass once I (hopefully) start working.
Today I'm taking a couple of bags of books to the recycling point where they get sent on to charity shops, so my decluttering target will increase0 -
Doing really well, fingers crossed the temp work comes through, albeit less salary. All that organising of budgets and pots pays off.
Foundation is incredibly expensive and I need more and more to fill the cracks and creases these days :rotfl: Sure I go though it quicker than I used to!
Well done on your decluttering, I've still got the stack of leftover books on my study floor, reckon that was December I started on that. Oh dearBack on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Morning! Have you ever tried BB creams? I use them instead of foundation these days, the one I got was from Lidl on a special but I have seen the same one in poundland or one of those (pound world? Can't tell them apart!). Anywhere will do a version, all a lot cheaper than £26. I have sensitive skin and have been fine.
Any news on the temp job? Xx ttbMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

I've not used a BB cream but I'll investigate once this new foundation runs out
Word on the temp job yesterday - the employer wasn't sure I had the right experience (bah!) so the temp agency have gone back to them again and now I am waiting to hear...0
