Ahh an Italian stallion, that's his calling card then :rotfl:

If the cause is needing new pads, then not much choice on that one. If it turns out to be accumulation of dust, it can just be cleaned off and they either lubricate them or wire brush them and that usually stops the dust sticking and you shouldn't get the squealing again for the life time of the new pads or discs.
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18

Pretty sure he's going to need new pads as they did the cleaning at the end of January according to my car account. As it's started within two months I'm guessing it might be time for the replacement pads the guy at the garage suggested. BAH!

Time for a list of things to do. I'm working at home today so can get stuff done in between conference calls (or while on calls, haha!) so here's the plan for today:
    • [STRIKE]Go to Asda for catfood[/STRIKE]
    • Go to Aldi for cat litter
    • [STRIKE]Two loads of washing[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Dishes[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Empty bins[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Change cat litter[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Upload pictures of craft bits for sale to Facebook[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Post Mother's Day present[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Put away clean washing[/STRIKE]
    • Tidy living room

I'll post another list later of all the small household things that are driving me scatty as I can start working on them next week once unemployment takes hold

Yup but he's not that keen :( To be honest, now we only have one cat I'm slightly less precious about keeping costs down. He's an old man (14 or thereabouts) so we feed him senior Felix and senior Purina, but a bag of the Purina last him ages. We probably don't spend much more than a tenner a month feeding him.

I got everything done yesterday apart from the trip for cat litter and tidying the living room, so I'm pretty happy with that.

I'm currently waiting for a cheque to come off my account with First Direct to pay for the roof repairs and then once that's debited I'm going to be switching my account back to Halifax for £100 ;) The service with FD is fine, but I don't like using phone banking and their internet service is clunky. Halifax have a good internet service and there's a BoS branch near my house for the rare occasions I need to speak to someone. I'll end up moving my ISA too I think as you can only withdraw from it to another FD account.

I emptied out my two savings banks this morning. I got £27.11 from my Sealed Pot and £47 from my £1/£2 coin jar. Not bad for a few weeks savings really :D

He didn't take to Aldi dry food at all - refused to eat it the last time I tried him on it. The wet food led to "dirty protests" so we've decided the extra cost is worth it :D

I just joined FD to get their £100 switching bonus. If you leave them between 6 and 12 months of opening the account they give you another £100. I'm not sure I have the brass neck to do that...maybe though! Did you open your account within the last year? That would be good to get £100 from FD and £100 from Halifax in one swoop :)

I did and I absolutely have the brass neck to do it :D Thanks for the tip!
