Turned out that the ones on the website are the posh ones which are exactly matching to your prescription but the ones in-store are £24
I just ordered them and should have them before my holiday!
The rest of the council tax free month has now been spent on my goggles and a new pair of glasses for Mr Mooo as he lost his about four years ago and never replaced them :eek:0 -

Since about September
I've been really good about putting every £2 coin I found in to the pot and the occasional £1 coin as well
I've also banked £85 from my Sealed Pot this week too :j 0 -
It's the day before payday, and here's how things look:
I had £83.99 left in my bills account, so I've left £50 in there for the moment and transferred £33.99 to my savings account, along with the £20 I had left in my current account.
Credit card balance: £171.54
Available to pay: £118.82
Outstanding balance: £52.72
That's accounted for because I did my big monthly top-up shop on Saturday rather than waiting till payday. I'll move the money from my food account when I get paid tomorrow.
Savings balance: £1656.08 :j
Nectar balance: 2761 points/£13.81 I got about 80 Adpoints last week but they've not transferred over yet.
Today's going to be a NSD because I've moved all my money over to my savings account. It's time to get started on my list of things to do - I want today to be a productive day!0 -
All looking good

Payday :j
I've added £25 to my savings - £20 from my food budget which has reduced by £20 from last month and £5 which is my usual tea budget for the month at work. I had £5 left over from my bus fares pot so have put that in my tea purse
I've also rounded down my account by £3.06 so it's an even number (I know, I have a problem!) and transferred over money for the petrol I bought yesterday. I've paid my credit card off in full having transferred over the money for the food I bought on Saturday.
Accounts:
Savings: £1679.14
Current account: £380 (Will reduce later as I need to buy bus fares)
Food: £127.28
Christmas/Birthdays: £134.67
Car fund: £323.23
Things are looking pretty healthy. I leave for my holiday in 17 days (not that I'm counting!) so only need to really worry about food for that period of time as Mr Mooo will look after himself while I'm away. I do plan on making him some ready meals for the freezer though as I'm fairly sure that if I left him to his own devices he would get scurvy :rotfl:0 -

Current account: £380
Current account is now at £300. I withdrew £40 for bus fares for the month and paid £5 to my local foodbank. I've taken £30 spending money out for the coming week and then rounded down the last fiver and put that in my savings account
Oooh only 17 days
I KNOW!!
I collected my travel money this morning, my goggles for using the pool at the complex are ready to be picked up and the next thing on my list is to spend an hour comparing travel insurance policies  I found one with Debenhams which seemed to have good cover for £33 with a free £5 giftcard and £4 cashback via TCB. There were policies through TCB comparison which were about £15 but I had never heard of the companies providing the insurance which always makes me nervous.0 -

This is a new SOA based on a couple of changes (including the cancellation of my gym membership
) The income part is right at the moment, but I've been told that my contract is ending at the end of March, so I'm back hunting for work again. At least I know that if I absolutely have to I can cope on £1000 per month - I would cancel the car/birthday standing orders in this scenario.
This weekend I need to get my CV rewritten and start sending it out to recruiters. At least with not working Mondays I can go and visit agencies and get my face out there
Things I need to review include my phone contract (can do in May), Mr Mooo's contract (can reduce to SIM-only in March) and the Virgin contract for the internet and TV. Lots of fun to be had there...:rotfl:0
