Should we continue to post non moneysaving items in this forum?

Yes it's very unclear as many non MSE threads have remained.

I really do think that it would be very dull in here with just money related type threads I have shared many a good hours craic in here with other people and I for one would be sad if it was so heavily moderated that some were being put of posting ..and yes personal attacks are wrong and shouldn't happen in any part of MSE .

I am not going to report anything. It is just good to know how the site works. I assume the thread is patrolled by the moderator so I'll leave things to their judgement.

No I don't think the threads are patrolled. There are only two or three staff members running the entire shooting match so I think they rely on those who are offended pressing the "report" button in your button group. I often use it if I see things getting out of hand but don't expect an instant response. It can sometimes take up to 24 hours before you get a result.

In saying that I wish to point out that I wasn't the tout on this thread.

I was actually quite happy for the argument to stay up because I felt it showed we could have heated discussion here without everyone resorting to ad hominem remarks. I wasn't offended in the slightest but obviously someone was.
