  • Hope everyones BD's are behaving themselves. We had a real-life dog appear yesterday, a little jack russell ran up to OH as she was painting the garden wall. It ran into the house which mine didn't like (she isn't comfortable around jumpy dogs and this little girl was manic!) so we had a panicky 5 mins trying to seperate them.
Went up and down the street, people seemed to recognise her, but no-one knew who she belonged to. It had a collar but no tag.
I had to shoot off to work so OH took her to our vet who checked for a chip, no chip either! Dog warden came round and managed to find the owner.
We found out the dog had the same name as my OH!

LW- I'm sorry if I upset you with the DNA comment. I just meant that despite having terrible, uncaring parents, you seem lovely and genuinely caring:A

I have sort of done my own thing today as downstairs needed more attention than up here. Cleaned kitchen, dining room, lounge and cloakroom.
Dad is still in hospital but is getting there. I have been working at my new place and I think I'm going to like to there:)

Off for a venture upstairs..... wish me luck:eek::eek:

Morning all, It's horrible here, all overcast and yuk :(
On my second coffee, trying to get motivated :o I've put the DW on and picked up the living room. Bagged up all the girls tat which I shall deposit in their room in a bit. I flatly refuse to do their room, hence why it is always a mess  I shall be giving them a list of what needs doing when they both come home later. They'll hate it :D
I'm off to dump stuff in their room, S & S the bathroom and clean upstairs windows and mirrors and not sure what else yet :o
  • seem to have spent most of the morning wrapping and sorting in our room, done bro's sis's and nieces birthday presents Bro's families christmas stuff, come to a stop on my sisters family as i havent yet ot all my nephews and haven't a clue what to get my bro-in-law

    Hi,

2 days in and i'm quitting. The added job on my list of keeping up with this thread is stressing me out more than having a broken hoover. Back to using my weekends for housework i think.

  • sorry to hear that Dee, you shouldn't feel under pressure. if its easier for you how about just looking at the tasks/jobs ideas for te day list on the first page and doing what you feel is manageable/appropriate to you without actually posting updates or feeling under pressure to read through our chatter. then once you've done that for a while and got into the swing of things you might want to join the thread more fully

  • Dog walked, dishes done, more bootcamps booked in, shower had.
Going to get some lunch in the oven (got some fresh mackerel, but not sure what I'm doing with it yet) and pick in and put away the washing while it's cooking.
Vacuum filter is almost dry, so should be ready for using on whichever room is on tomorrows list :D

Thinking very hard about picking up the sax for my supposed daily practice...but that's as far as I've got so far. I have an hour and half before work, and relaxing on my video games might win over!

I've cleaned the windows in the living room, bathroom, landing and my room, plus the mirrors.
I've S & S'd the bathroom, including sweeping up cat litter twice
I was just going to start work on my bedroom but suddenly felt overwhelmed and had a panic attack. Only a little one. I guess it was because I have so much in my room to sort out. I think I might wait 'til DD1 is home to work on that with me, the thought of deciding what to get rid of is too much :o
I'm off to find something else to do . . .

Don't go Dee. As Mrs money penny said, look at the dailes, even if you only do the 15 mind that's an achievement, it's all I keep up with just now. You can sign up for the daily digest to read the chatter at your leisure and do your weekend bits as and when. No pressure to stick to the list or the convo, you could just check in each morning.

Plumber gas man been and dailies almost done, he checked my alarms for me the lovely man. I kept putting it off as I didn't want to wake the baby but couldn't say no to him and it didn't wake her.
