I never found any group activity to be helpful; quite apart from the fact that I was as scared as hell of all the other attendees, I ended up taking on their pain, and stressing about their troubles, iyswim, which seemed completely counter-productive. Just a mo..... *puts check-chain and lead on Skinty's BD and leads him away to BD-pound.*
My one hope in all this mess is that the man I was brought up to call my father may not actually have been. I have no way to know for sure, but there's a small glimmer of hope that I don't carry the DNA of a child-molester. I have to just hold onto that thought.:o

Thanks LW, I don't plan to go back to the BD-pound to collect, but somehow my BD seems to be microchipped with my details and keeps coming back to me :(

I had my previous BD counsellor ring me for a check up to 1) rate my scores on stupid tick sheet thingy 2) check that I went to BD group activity yesterday. And she was upset that I had not put "skills" into practice to prevent my scores going right back to where they day 1. She doesn't seem to get when you are in the thick of it unless you have someone guiding your hand to remind you where the finger grips are in front of you it seems natural to me that you stay still, don't look up, down, left or right and hold on tight until your fingers turn white and you fall off :(.

I have reserved 20 weeks worth of childcare, but can give 4 weeks notice at anytime, so I will persevere for a few more weeks and if I am not getting anywhere, I will give notice on her nursery place and save the money.

DNA is one thing, nurture is another....sometimes we have to bring ourselves up all over again as an adult and self nurture. The FLYLADIES en masse are absolutely right, you are one special lady, you open your heart and your home to your canine guests and Mr LW is equally blessed to have you every single day. If it helps to think of DNA as not two strands from two parents, but a rich blanket with threads woven from many many generations back. It only takes one thread of gold to turn the dullest grey blanket into something precious. Even if there is no gold thread to be found in the blanket however hard you look, self nurtured embroidery that goes over the top has a beauty all of its own :grouphug:

Time for a quick brew with some sugar in it....then look at Fred and Listy as I have been busy but not sure what I have accomplished

    Morning all

My head hurts this morning as I slipped on the bathroom floor last night and fell onto the edge of the wall cabinet. Scary how much blood!! I now have a corner-shaped bloody mark and a big lump above my right eye. I think I will have to make up a story of some sort of frantic s*xual encounter as a house-work related injury just isn't cool

Yowch! You have our permission to skive off!

Sounds like chez Honey Bear to a T - and I certainly wasn't offended. (I may be wrong about this, but I think the fact that Bossy added a :rotfl: after her  might have meant that she agreed too.)

Yes, I hoped it came across that way. My house mostly looks like toys r us has barfed on it :D

Note to self: cyber-sarcasm is not always obvious!

I'm in my bedroom, found an almighty cobweb I'm sure wasn't there last week. Who was it said about lots of spidders this autumn? We have heaps of them here. Big ones  hope it doesn't try to steal my cup of tea. Just putting my feet up before I go get DD

Kitchen sink bleached, work surfaces bleached, cooker hob scrubbed. All bathroom bins emptied and steam cleaned.

I have had post (thankfully after I had flown) from claims people about Mr I can't drive for a Werth£rs original, he seems to be back tracking about hitting my car, now mine has gone into be fixed , so I will have to go down Police Station later and see if they can bring some pressure to bear on MR M's to get their staff member to come forward. Maybe a cash reward will help the person remember their duty.

Skinty (((HUG))) I love that embroidery analogy - as I do embroidery and cross-stitch, it's something I can readily relate to. Thank you.:A

I don't quite know where this afternoon's gone to; I dusted the lounge and hall, then had a mad fit and did the bedroom and spare room as well (o-er, I think I may need a nice lie-down).:D Also done all the mega-boring surveys in my email inbox; and now it'll soon be time for Mr LW to let me know if he's going to be home on time or if the Users have cooked up more problems for him to fix.

So I'm going to log off and see if I can get in 10 minutes or so to myself - actually scratch that, I have to check on the washing first and put any that's dry in the airing cupboard.

Bossy, if it's any consolation on misinterpretations, irony uses the same words as sarcasm but without (vocal) attitude. I just assumed you were being ironic, which if Jane Austen is the writer she is cracked up to be (she is, imho) is regarded as total genius.

Skinty, I thought your gold thread embroidery was absolutely beautiful.

Dog and cat bedding swapped so that cat will nest elsewhere and leave comfortable dog bed for Mrs Dog (devil-cat has already explored the new dog bed). Lemon marmalade trial run given its second stage treatment and stairs brushed very half-heartedly.
    Better is good enough.
