So pleased to have a full day at home, they're as rare as hens teeth these days. However did I manage before I retired?!
Sitting room, end to end, top to bottom
    Bathroom, as sitting room
Ran (who am I kidding, I drove) to local shop to post b/day card to DB and get a New Home card for DGD1
Kitchen - started but veered toward the cooker and made the usual daily bread plus some fairy cakes, a quiche and a little trifle for DGD1 who visited this afternoon. She and her OH are moving into their first home this weekend, gave them something toward a cooker, or ff, or whatever they want. Can't take it with me so I like to see it enjoyed while I'm still here ;).
Rendered down some fat which gave me a good amount of pure dripping, will use some next time I have roast tatties/parsnips. Making my mouth water thinking about it.
Dog quite a lot brighter so gave him a good 30 min groom. He looks much better for it.
Typed up minutes of a meeting on Sunday, copied for distribution tomorrow
Half day at home tomorrow so now I'm back in the swing will get more done
    Sweet dreams :)

Good morning ladies - and men if there are any!

LW I so agree with everything that has been written. It never fails to anger me how much psychological damage is done in childhood and how many lives are blighted. You're doing brilliantly, girl.

    Skinty loved the embroidery analogy.

Got up yesterday raring to go, cleared and cleaned the kitchen - shall spare you the rant about husbands in the kitchen - and flopped, feeling weak as a kitten. Did some ironing but spent most of the day decluttering the laptop. I renewed the anti virus, anti spyware, anti unwanted programmes software, decluttered my in box, defragged, etc.

Can't seem to pick up after this dratted bug.

Hoping for more oomph today. We have no 2 gs so I'm going to need it!

DNA is one thing, nurture is another....sometimes we have to bring ourselves up all over again as an adult and self nurture. The FLYLADIES en masse are absolutely right, you are one special lady, you open your heart and your home to your canine guests and Mr LW is equally blessed to have you every single day. If it helps to think of DNA as not two strands from two parents, but a rich blanket with threads woven from many many generations back. It only takes one thread of gold to turn the dullest grey blanket into something precious. Even if there is no gold thread to be found in the blanket however hard you look, self nurtured embroidery that goes over the top has a beauty all of its own :grouphug:

That is quite the most beautiful thing i have read:T

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
    Morning all,
As there are no kids in the LJ household I guess I'll have to chew a big frog (now I know what that means, thanks Raph!) and attack the spare room. It is full of boxes and carp that haven't been touched since the move
With a bit of work I should be able to re distribute some of it (Christmas stuff to the attic etc) and re organise the rest so I can look at actually turning it into a spare room rather than a junk room. Was hoping to have this done by the house warming on the 26th anyway.

Wishful Wednesday ~ the frightening full spare room :D
    • Fit new smoke alarms
    • Fit new loo roll/towel rail in powder room
    • Go on plastic hook hunt to remove the horrid things
    • Sort through junk room and clear as much as possible
    • Check loft is properly organised to find things
    • Hoover
    • Clean window
    • Arrange bed/furniture
    • Sort AS kit for work on Saturday, post sale items to FB page
That should keep me out of trouble for a bit.
Hope you're all wrapped up warm today, winters here!
Hugs, sticks and spoons where needed

    Hi all

Re: Flylady Meet does anyone know if there is a park and ride in Birmingham, I've tried to look on the website but got confused (easily done)

Not really. Where are you coming in from? The bus system is very good but it all depends where you enter the metropolis.:D
