    Hi all.

    ....by my mother that I'd always be ugly, and never amount to anything, (“neither use nor ornament” was one of her favourites) coupled with the awful, awful things my father did *shudders*, I find looking after myself in terms of “pampering” extremely difficult, so I'm so glad of the encouragement. :o I've put on my agate necklace, changed my earrings (usually the same ones stay in for months on end) and got Mr LW to trim the split ends off my hair today. See, I am trying.:D

    You know.. I think you are one of the more beautiful people I have had the joy of knowing... You offer support and advice and well wishes to us grotbags. You have a special place you share with your wolfy cousins and their owners ask for you because you care for their fluffies and they appreciate that and the wolfy cousins are loved and cared for and they know it too. Your parents were obviously very stupid to not realise what a lovely person you turned out in spite of their improper treatment of you. Mr Wolf obviously sees all those things in you too!!!

  • I'm in! I've just started working again properly after two children and desperately need to get organised. As the days go on the mess/chaos is getting ridiculous :/
    I've clutter/junk everywhere with limited storage that doesn't help matters, mounds of laundry as my washer broke a few weeks back and I couldn't get it fixed for a while, and just mess, mess, mess everywhere I look. Once I've done the school run I head to work for a few hours, I have an hour between finishing work and collecting my little one from school, then I get their dinner ready and head back to work 5pm-8pm....Anyone have any tips??!!

    read the front page and all the links in it. take a deep breath and make a start. Weve all been there and none of even now claim to have pristine palaces we have homes with families and all the clutter and junk that entails.
    Your house didnt get how it is in a day so dont expect to be able to clean it in a day - youll just wear yourself out and get disheartened.

    How did you get on Dusty, MrsMP?
    I've managed to clean the bathroom and powder room (making my WC sound posh haha). OH has hung the hooks and the iron store in the under stairs cupboard. Have also asked him to take down the hideous blind from the PR at some point too.
    He wants a trip to bnq so my no spend day is out the window, will get some bits on my list while we're out.

    Lame Wolf - I agree totally with pigpen. People like you, who are kind to others (both 2- and 4-footed creatures!) without expecting any return, always have a special glow about them, of which they themselves are totally unaware. Sad that your parents never recognised that in you.

    Home from hospital appointment. Got to have another scan, needle aspiration and then a contrast dye scan thingy that is horrible....

    Oh well, at least I don't have cancer in my lymph nodes, something to be grateful for this month :)

    Have finally cleaned bath, sink and toilet. Also emptied bin in bathroom. I then washed up, dried up, cooked dinner (just had macaroni cheese that was YS for 99p from £4 with homemade bread), got washing put away (all of it!), also finally got one of our two turtles a new home. They were fighting which could've ended in death so I found a nice new home for one and he has gone now :)

    Rubbish hospital trip, great evening though so who cares :) Going to have some chocolate now to cheer myself up and then might do a few more jobs that aren't actually on the list but probably should be :P

    How very dare you :eek::rotfl:

    I have done the bathroom (apart from swapping towels and bath mat for clean ones :o) but not the laptop as mine is a works one and it has a scheduled spruce up every fortnight already. I also put it away before realising I ought to have wiped it down <oops>

    Sorted kids clothes and bags for morning, plus my pack up, and I've washed my hair.

    I need to wash the conservatory windows (again) before they come back to refit my blinds. Will try get out of work on time tomorrow so I can do this before collecting DD.

    Right now though, I'm having a cuppa and a browse.
