I am very short on time right now so sitting in the bath conditioning my hair writing this, might jut be getting in to this!!
Got to see my thyroid/hormone man at 3:40, nervous as he's never got anything positive for me those days (not his fault lol).
Bath cleaned when I get out, shower curtain in wash. So made a start!
Great news GI about your husband, hope it turns in to a long term contract, great to hear he's got something.

Susan, please see below:AnWsmum (and the flylady who brought us the sad news this week) devised this method to help her get her home back on track (I think).
So rather than look at a whole room which is a total mess (often referred to as RoD - Room of Doom) she started working on one area - say a table. She would get it cleared then aim to keep it clear and clean. The next time she was working on that room she would pick a second area...and so on. So these were the 'dots' - the cleaned/cleared areas within a room. The aim was, eventually, to have all the dots joined. Hence dot-to-dot.
This method acknowledges that, for whatever reason, you may have a 'disaster' area which is too much to tackle in one go.0 -

Hi all.
Manic Monday today, as Mr LW is wfh today; luckily I did a lot of my Monday tasks yesterday, as a major kitchen cleanup was needed after a Yule Pud-making marathon.:o
Doffing my cap to this week's official list,:D Mr LW has been informed he's giving the loo a really good scrub when he knocks off w*rk (to save my poorly wrists); and the ancient XP desktop pc is chugging along on a defrag as I type! I used it to print labels for the HM mincemeat earlier, and it was so slow it made the average snail look like Usain Bolt!
The pink recycling bag is currently on the trolley in the kitchen, and I'm on a mission to find anything else that can go in it; bin men come tomorrow, so Mr LW can put it outside on his way out to work tomorrow morning. I may even brave the depths of Mr LW's magazine rack:eek: to see if there's anything there that can go (wish me luck with that!).
Bossy thanks for the stars– I seem to have a veritable constellation!
My Challenge is, I think, going to be lifelong; having had it dinned into me by my mother that I'd always be ugly, and never amount to anything, (“neither use nor ornament” was one of her favourites) coupled with the awful, awful things my father did *shudders*, I find looking after myself in terms of “pampering” extremely difficult, so I'm so glad of the encouragement.
I've put on my agate necklace, changed my earrings (usually the same ones stay in for months on end) and got Mr LW to trim the split ends off my hair today. See, I am trying.:D
HB I hope the trip to the fang farrier went/goes ok (you didn't say what time, so I don't knoiw if you've been yet or not) – I do sympathise, I always hated going ( don't need to these days, just once every few years to have new plates made).;)
GI great news re DH's job.:T Could lead to better things– Mr LW had been out of work for 11 months some years back, and finally managed to get a temporary post covering maternity leave; he got a superb reference there, and at a subsequent temporary contract, and thanks to those references got the job he's now in, where he's been for the last seven years. If it goes as well for Mr GI, that'll be great, hey?:o
MrsMH thanks for caring about me:o– yes I'm around, but it was a bit sporadic posting-wise while I had Hugo & Dylan staying; I'm dogless til Thursday now though, so hopefully will be able to check in this week a bit more.:o
Mr LW has just reported back to say the loo is now sparkling, so I shall go and inspect his handiwork, and determine if gold stars or other rewards are in order.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
