Glad DD is ok. How did your appointment go?0
-
oops forgot to report a it was a non event. Drove the 10 miles from my work to discover no clinics on and I had been sent a letter to change my appointment to September. Incensed? Yes I bloody was. So I drove 10 miles back to work and phoned them Apparently they are desperately trying to get theatre times from other departments as they are so busy and I still have no date. I gave the secretary dates I can't go in but I reckon it'll be September. Was saying in work I am going to ask my GP for a set of antibiotics to take on hols with me just incase I take ill whilst away. The NHS is going to the dogs and I know we have it better up here than some of you poor guys down South.
Anyway I came home and made cakes to calm me down
Would like to pretend that they would last until T break tomorrow in the office but they'll no doubt be breakfast

Wow - those cakes look delicious!! My rich tea biscuit doesn't taste as good anymore lol.
Good idea about the antibiotics - would hate your holiday to be ruined when you could have had some on hand!
I have watched quite a bit of the games on telly - I enjoy something like this because you see lots of sports in small chunks which makes it interesting.0 -
Evening folks. was out for a wee chat with my pal. Spent £3.30 om 2 juices so not too bad. Spent £3.50 on lunch and £10 on dinner as I was in a real hurry.
Went to slimming club and put on 7.5lbs in 2 weeks. Am getting so peed off with this. I have not been perfect but I certainly don't deserve that. My stomach and my feet are swollen and I must have fluid again. No doubt the urine infection will follow soon :mad:.
Anyway no negativity tonight as MIT household is buzzing with excitement about going to the games tomorrow. Apparently going to be thunder and lightning but we'll keep our fingers crossed that it isn't.
My son has such an attitude just now. He's doing my head in and is so close to getting a slap. He's nealry 17 mind you so dunno if I'll get away with it :rotfl: I reckon he's getting bored now with summer hols and his mischief saves up for his sister and I coming in and he drives us both nuts.

WOW WOW WOW What a night. I cannot even begin to explain how cool that experience was. We were sitting behind the enclosure where the discus was being thrown. To the left of us the races were starting. We had mexican waves and singalongs. Spoke to people from all over the world. Spent a fortune as kids were desperate for T-shirts so I bought DS one and DD bought her own £20. So so so amazing. The excitement was unbelievable. DD's fave bit was the wee cars to collect the discus. He wants one for Christmas :rotfl:. We almost managed to get singing our flower of Scotland when Eilidh Child almost on her race ( I have no voice left) But we sang England's green and pleasant Land instead for the English team gold. The guy who came third in discus was hilarious , dancing around and playing to the crowd. He also came into the arena afterwards to see the fans and was taking selfies with everyone. Place was in an uproar he was so full of fun. I spent an additional £20 on chippy dinner and food in stadim and spent £28 in wilkies on a jacket for me, sweets for staff and juice to take with us. Also spent £3.75 on lunch as had to escape work for an hour to clear my head after holding the grievance meeting today.
I am now exhausted and off to my kip, Still buzzing though so I hope sleep comes despite that. XX5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
