Lucielle, you're right I should just get rid of it but I have had a few occasions when I have had to use it for an emergency and I am scared to get rid. I don't normally use it and when I do I get rid of it ASAP as I hate paying that £1 per day
Thanks INOD for the crossed fingers, DS passed the 3 highers he sat. He even got English which he was totally convinced he would fail and I actually had to force him to sit the exam.He got a B and 2 C's. Unfortunately failed Maths but says he doesn't need it. He got these results with minimal work and I get the teensiest bit annoyed at what he could get if he just applied himself. However he had a tough year and confidence wise and making friends etc the year has been a huge success so I am happy enough. If he wants a Uni place he will have to put in more effort this year for sure.
Didn't realise that I hadn't reported in last night. The household was completely involved in the referendum debate. I even had an invite to take part in the mori poll afterwards.
No big news tbh as trying hard not to spend. I've spent £10 so far this week and had to buy butter tonight as was making bread and had run out. I had promised bread to my workmates so a large loaf in breadmaker just now. I'm going to practice with rolls over the weekend as I have loads of breadmaking flour etc in and need to get it all used up as I just don't have the storage room for it.
We has free food for dinner tonight except for the onion rings. I had gotten the chicken and fish inspirations free via checkoutsmart , the frozen potato things I got from the house we clean so it tasted fab as it was free
Cleared out my paperwork box tonight so loads of shredding for DS to get done. That'll be a job for him for tomorrow. I'm sure he will be thrilled HA HA

Congrats on DS's results, glad he got enough to take him forward, but feel your annoyance on lack of pushing himself, DS was like that for his year end exams and needs to do well to keep him in top sets for when he starts his GCSE years. But will they be told? No!
:rotfl: at the stew and chicken mix up! I did that thinking I'd got chilli out, only to serve rice with bolognaise :rotfl: Was novel
Well done on watching the spending and hope the weather has improvedBack on the DFW Wagon:

I was in Glasgow on Saturday for the athletics, it was fabulous - the atmosphere and the people are great. We went to the transport museum on Sunday. Loved every minute of it, intend coming back at Christmas to explore a little more.Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j0 -
Dawn it was fab. Glad you got to enjoy some of it
Ali boys just drive you nuts :rotfl:
Am going through stuff from loft and ds and I are having such a laugh. Here is one of the nursery pics he did.
It was the Queens jubilee whilst he was at the nursery and they were obviously asked to do a drawing of the Queen with something and he chose 'toasters' PMSL he was literally rolling about the floor laughing when I showed him the pic
Not much other news. I am off tomorrow and cleaning for my friend so at least £50 for that and it will go straight to tesco. This is the first of 4 shifts I have this month so I am determined to pay this straight off of account. I hate doing the cleaning jobs so I need to make sure I use the money for debts. Heating engineer coming out tomorrow and also cladding work starting so my house will be super cosy soon.
Wee chill night tonight and I reckon I will be in bed early as am very very tired xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Well done to DS - like you say he had a few changes to deal with too. lol at his picture - I love looking back at stuff my DS did when he was little.
Hope you have a good weekend - is it that party this weekend that you thought was last weekend? if so - have fun.0 -
LAM I have a quiet weekend this week thankfully, I have told everyone that I am skint due to holidays so am not available. The party is next weekend and I also have my friend's 50th. We are heading into town for cocktails and afternoon tea on the Sunday but that can hopefully be paid from our savings fund that we stick £20 per week into. I'll have £10 to put in for her gift but that's all. My godson has a birthday as well but I am giving him euros from my stash so no cost there. I can do this
Spent £4 today on rolls, fajitas and peppers. I made more bread but it hasn't risen as well as last time. I reckon I put too much yeast in it. If it's rubbish I will make breadcrumbs from it and freeze it.
I made HM chicken goujons tonight for the fajitas. Made 2 wraps each and I could only eat 1. So filling.
Heating now fixed and cladding guys have made a start on the outside of the house. It's all gobut it's all good. Unfortunately pouring rain now so work has stopped.
Did my first extra cleaning shift today. Really hard work tbh and I am shattered tonight. I won't get paid until end of month for the shifts but I am happy enough with that as it will stop me being tempted to spend it and I am counting it as this months payments to CC. I have just paid the £60 that brings me up to my target for the month so I am happy with that. So £60 paid and £88.13 came off of balance. I have just managed to transfer £1000 from ASDA on to 0% with BOS so I'm also happy with that. I have £10,600 approx on 0% for at least 15 months so I will just have to hammer all the others down in the meantime and hope that I get other 0% when these ones end. All going in the right direction. I'm feeling very motivated just now and hope that it continues.
I need another £35 in my account to cover my DD's this month but next week's child benefit and tax credits will more or less cover that. Keep your fingers crossed for me guys that I get through this month with no major damage.

Afternoon folks.Sorry for absence yesterday but I was a very poorly MIT. Thought at one point I'd have to go to hospital again. Kidney pain was ridiculous. Poor DS got me a blanket and hot water bottle and I burst into tears I was in so much pain. Poor soul got in a bit of a panic and wanted to call an ambulance. I talked him into waiting half an hour so pain killers would work. I hate taking co-codamol though as they make me so nauseous. I just ended up going to bed and slept for 10 hours  Feel much better today but still not braw.
Anyway. I worked yesterday morning. Told owner that I was going to continue, unless she sells until next Christmas. I'm fed up working 6 days a week so another 17months and I am chucking it. My friend runs a cleaning business as I told you but she was telling me yesterday that there is another huge house coming on board and she cannot cope with it as well as the one she has. The house will not be ready for at least a year and I am seriously pondering over whether to go partial retirement in my own job and taking this house on as a part time self employed project. If I did that then my lump sum would pay off my debt and possibly mortgage and I would have a whole new direction to my life. Lots to consider.
Went to Morrisons yesterday and spent £65.05. I had the vouchers for £5 free fruit and veg and DS was with me to put one of them through. His transaction then got a £1.50 off voucher so I ended up paying £53.55 in all. I love free stuff. I am however shocked at how little you get for £10 for fruit and veg. I got 2 broccoli, 1 cauliflower, onions, ayrshire potatoes, baked potatoes, apples and grapes. I now have until 24th August to do another £40 shop to get my £15 summer bonus. I will then use that to buy some easy cook things for the kids whilst I am away on holiday. 3 weeks today I will be sitting in the sun again
. Can't wait.
So a day of footering today. I've done the ironing, washing and filled dishwasher and am about to go through some more loft junk. Hoping the kids will help me but not going to held my breath :rotfl:

Evening folks. Another lovely rainy day in Scotland
Working anyway so who cares.
Went through another 2 bin bags from loft between last night and tonight. Nothing else to sell but loads of old photos that have given me lots of smiles. It kind of worries me that all my pics are now digital and I must admit I'm a bit worried that I lose them all. Most are on facebook so hopefully safe enough. Others are on photobucket.
Another short week this week as am off on Friday again to work for my friend. My SIL is coming with me this week to see how she gets on. She's never really worked as she was a SAHM and then never bothered so I have my fingers crossed that it works out for her and she can earn some cash. It would be good for her and also good for her and my brother to get some extra cash in.
House is looking better as well. Just the pebble dashing to get done and it will be fab, I cannot wait until it is done and I get everyhting back to normal.
Not much more happening here. I got a dress from e-bay for £6 for my holidays. I need to start having a look and see just what I have for going away to check if I need anything. Hopefully not . 2 weeks on Sunday I head off so I am getting quite excited now5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
