Yoohoo I'm back
. Bronzed and beautiful
Ok that's a lie but hey I am sun-burnt and knackered but had a brilliant time.
Company was great and we all got on really well. Food was not so good but we ate out a few times.I spent 230 euros but I am happy with that as I have started my Christmas shopping as bought perfume for DD to put away.
So I am now home and ready to start again. I have made decisions whilst I was away and am feeling energised. One of my big decisions was about my weight. I wasn't miserable whilst away but I was very aware of how heavy I have gotten again. None of my friends are skinny but they are maybe a size 14/16 and they all had lovely outfits on every night. Now I had bought new clothes but realised that I just looked a mess. I got comments like-that's a lovely fresh outfit, that colours lovely etc etc whereas I was telling them they looked fab and I loved their frocks etc. it is very different. So I had a chat with my mates and told them that if I do not manage to lose weight this time then I am going to get a gastric band as this weight is wrecking my life and my enjoyment of life in general. I was shoe horned in my seat on the plane, the bus, the train and I get so mortified and uncomfortable. I doubt I will get the band on NHS so I will need to pay for it. SOOOOO I just need to make bloody sure I manage without it.
I also decided not to have a 50th birthday party as I am going away with my freinds for a few days and I have just got a huge year in front of me so I am also not going to go to the wedding in Cyprus either.
I am whacked tonight as have been on the go since 5.30am so I am watching strictly and then off to bed. I'll catch up with all the diaries soon xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Evening folks. Busy day today. 4 loads of washing done and line dried. I'll get some more done tomorrow and the ironing and I will have caught up. Need to go to the skip and I have a cleaning job on in the evening as well. Unfortunately I will need to use the cash to keep me going this month so no additional payments will be made.
I had to buy a few things today from the supermarket but other than some fresh food I reckon I have enough to see us through until the end of the month. I made a huge pot of chicken and rice soup tonight which will see us over next couple of days. Tomorrow I am going to make a few cottage pies as I have 3 packs of mince and 2 bags of potatoes to use up. I'll slow cook the mince and our dinner will be ready for us coming in from cleaning. I'll take some soup with us as DS will be starving coming straight from school.
I have to give DS £42 for school tomorrow as he has £22 to pay for materials and £20 to pay for a tie and braid around his blazer as he has been chosen for prefect ( which he is extremely pleased about). Money wise this month i just getting worse and worse. Ho hum. I'll just do my best. Kids have been warned I am skint so they know it'll be frugal one. DD has no money to pay her digs and I had to put £25 into her account as she was short for her insurance money for her car. She will get her SAAS money through at end of month and also money owed to her by her old work as well so she can catch up then. Another friend owes me £30 for tickets for a night out next week so I have money due to me but just not just now.
I am hoping to do a car boot at the weekend and get enough money from that for DS's school costs next week. I'll have a go anyway.

Wow I have missed a lot. Cant believe your holiday came and went - glad you enjoyed it. Nothing like a nice break to sort the mind and soul out and now you have a new incentive to get debt free. Although so hard with all the school costs - seems like they are always wanting money.
Hope DD is better now - how did it go with the boyfriend or has he not been yet?0 -
LAM DD is a lot better but still very tired. Mr Ireland has been an gone. She is smitten and it seems so is he but they are being realistic as they live so far away from each other. I reckon it'll be quite casual for now. Fine by me as she starts uni in 2 weeks.
The holiday was fab but felt a bit strange being there with 2 couples. The girls are my best friends and I am really friendly with 1 of the husbands but didn't know the other one that well. I got on great with him though as he is a really genuinely nice guy. They included me to such an extent I had to tell them to back off lol and remember they were on hols with their partners as well and deserved some time alone. I was never made to feel awkward with them and folks we met said it took them a while to work out who was with who. I did however feel a bit lonely at times and it would have been lovely to have had a partner with me. It wasn't that bad that it spoiled my time but I was aware that I was alone in the crowd if that makes sense.
Today is more washing and ironing along with telly catch up. I've taken out 3 packs of mince which I will put in the slow cooker in the afternoon and it will cook nicely whilst I am away at cleaning job. Apparently DS told DD he was so glad I was coming home as he really missed home cooked meals. He had been away on a school trip whilst I was away but was at home for 4 nights. His dinners were 2 nights of pizza and 2 nights where he had 2 chicken pies :rotfl:. I sussed that he only had the pies as he had run out of pizzas and he admitted I was right. He is most definitely the type of man you can get around with feeding him.
