Hi folks sorry for being MIA. Computer issues and been busy busy doing referendum stuff. The result today did not go as I wanted it to and I am absolutely gutted. Can I say straight off I love our English neighbours and our friends in Wales but I saw this as a way to get away from Westminster. I also fear that Scotland is now going to go same way as down south and we will have to pay prescriptions, NHS will be a nightmare, university fees will kick in etc etc etc. However Scotland chose not to become independent so we have made history for being the only country to say no
. I was in tears in work today and have had to deactivate my facebook account as I cannot stand all the arguing. The No won. I 1,000,000% disagree but I will have to accept. A minority of the no camp are now making a fool of Scotland in George Square in Glasgow. I am mortified for my country as the world is watching and what it sees are these drug/drink fuelled zealots. My heart is a bit broken tonight guys and my belief in Scotland is dented. I'll get over it but it'll be difficult.I will never vote again in a national election as for me it is a waste of a vote. I never get who I want anyway. I'll look forward to the fiasco of a tory/ukip coalition. That'll be fun :eek:Anyway I'm off my soapbox now.
Moneywise I am about £100 overdrawn with 11 days to go . Not looking so good. But hey better than last month. I hadn't bought any shopping for 2 weeks but couldn't get away with another one as fridge and fruit bowl were completely empty. I spent £62 in ALDI so you can imagine how much I got

Good afternoon fellow money savers.
Been working this morning so between that and my child benefit this week I can cover DS's school costs. We have plenty of food in so should be okay until end of month now.
Housework today but I am still tired and am finding it hard to get motivated. It will only take me about half an hour to tidy up so I really should get a move on.
Grass needs cut so DS has said he will do that when he comes in from town. I was going to start it off but have decided no he can get on with it as he is a lazy bum and I'm not going to encourage him. I'm hoping for a catch up on diaries tonight although it will take me hours :eek:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Yesterday I felt devastated and had a few cries myself, felt exactly like you, I have absolutely no issues with anyone English, Irish or Welsh I just wanted to see Scotland soar free from the chains of Westminster....today I got up, brushed myself down and felt more positive. I really truly believe that we will get there one day not too far away and I will certainly be voting next year and maybe just maybe we can flood Westminster with SNP and the greens and have a bigger voice....as the saying goes 'don't let the buggars get you down'....and it's your diary so I'm sure all your mse friends would be happy to provide you with a wee stool if you need a soapbox sometimes xx
Ps although North Ayrshire voted no my wee town voted yes by a majority of 1514!! That cheered me up no end0 -
Nonnie. I'm still struggling with emotions today but I will be okay. I'm in West Dunbartonshire so we were one of the 4 areas who did vote yes but it doesn't really help. Friday was so awful. Lots of very very sad people. I don't know if you've seen the pics of George Square today. Full of bags of food for the foodbanks. Now that's the Scotland I know and love and have pride in. I hope you are right and we will be free from Westminster one day but still best of friends with our lovely neighbours. Saor Alba
Anyway 2 of my lovely friends took me out today and we had a great wee afternoon. I bought 2 Christmas pressies so I have now started. I don't have that many people to buy for as most of them want money. I am going to start this month putting money away in money cards so I don't have to fork it all out in December.
I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but it's DD's 21st next year and I am copying an idea whereby you buy 21 gifts and put them in a box. She wants a swarovski watch as her main gift but I am having loads of fun looking for smaller things for her. I got her a lovely wee hanging heart today with Mother/ Daughter engraved in it. So sweet. I also got her hankies saying super teacher on them as she starts her uni course this week to train as a teacher. Exciting times.
I think I am going to have to change jobs as part of my job just now involves doing something that my social and moral conscience cannot stomach. Been looking at other public service posts and a few out there so I will have to get very busy with gathering some evidence for competency based forms and start applying.
I'm still trying to catch up on diaries but just now Downton is on and it takes precedence5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I also mentioned Christmas on my diary today! Must be something in the air!
DD's presents sound awesome! Well done you for starting so early so you can take your time finding the perfect things rather than rushing to find stuff. I'm sure she'll love it.
