  • changed my mind already.I'm going to concentrate on tesco as that is smallest balance and I can definitely get rid of that by Christmas which would be a good boost to my confidence. So I will pay £30 plus the £18.40 I had left from child benefit this week.

  • Afternoon folks. Torrential rain here today. Everywhere is flooding. Sun peeking through now and hopefully it will clear up or closing ceremony will be a washout . I know loads of people who are going to it so I am crossing my fingers all will be well.

Went uniform shopping with DS and he picked up shoes. I said you better try them on and he said 'no they'll be fine Mum they're an 8' I said ' Aye son they'll be grand considering you are a 10. Now try the bloody shoes on' :rotfl: How will this boy ever survive out in the world on his own? I despair.

£105 today for uniform but that was for 8 boxers, 6 socks, 5 shirts, belt, 3 trousers and shoes. Just a bag and jacket to get now and he will be all set.

Spent another £18.53 in ASDA on groceries and toiletries and also £29.95 in Morrisons but got £10 off for meat purchases and £1.25 cashback from checkoutsmart so that makes total spend £37.23 today on groceries. I have spent a lot of money on food this weekend but my oh my we have a tonne of food in and also some really nice food so we can spoil ourselves a bit. Tonight we will have sirloin steaks. mushrooms, onions, new potatoes and broccoli. Then choc fudge cake and ice cream. Tomorrow the diet starts again :(

Hi MIT I have spent the last few days reading your diary. When I was trying to shift me overdraft I made an arrangement with the bank to lower the limit each week. It took a while but it did go. HTH

:rotfl: at DS and shoes - mine is just the same and currently using the toe injury as the perfect reason to not even think about shoe shopping!

Boxers and socks - they are Xmas stocking fillers only in this house ;) At least you've sorted uniform and I think they go back earlier too? DS starts back 3rd Sept with a day trip.

Drooling over Choc Fudge Cake... dinner sounded delicious.

Sorry to say we've still got dry and warm sunny weather here. Rain is due though. And you get longer lighter nights, ours are drawing in quite quick down here and lights are on earlier. :) Will have to start using the candles again soon! :D Talk about come full circle to where I started!
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18
  • Lucielle, I have cleared the o/d with this months bonus and CSA money. I just need to do my best not to go into it again :p

Ali ours are back on 18th ( I think) of August. BUT tonight, overnight, is exam results time. I have one hyper lad here who is driving me up the wall. He keeps coming into the living room and ruffling my hair. Doing my box in. He has asked me 3 times if he is to wake me when his results e-mail comes in and each time I have said yes. He has come up with a different scenario each time 1) he will wake me 2) he will wake me if the results are okay 3) he will leave his results stuck to his door so I see it in he morning. The last one has instructions that I have not to waken him if they are bad - yeah right. I asked if he was nervous and he said yeah. I asked why and he said because you will be disappointed in me if I don't do well :o. For once I didn't pander to thi and said yes I would be as he did no work to ensure good results and if he didn't do well then I would have been caused a lot of stress changing his school not to mention all the money it costs me every week. I think he had been hoping for ' Aww son don't worry. WHat will be will be' :rotfl:

Today I spent £3.40 on lunch. Need to get more organised. I have lunch stuff in so no excuse really.

Took stew out tonight for dinner so I was rather surprised when I discovered it was chicken !! Was still delish though but kids were slightly bamboozled at the strange stew :rotfl:

Just going to buy DS a cagoule type jacket for going back to school as he has a blazer and also a thick winter jacket he has hardly worn. So just that and a backpack and all done.

Heading off to check finances xx

  • Sh*t am skint again. I have £5 after everything is paid. However I do have £32.50 a week income plus £30 cleaning and £200 from cleaning from my friend. So I have £455. I will have to pay the entire £200 plus £15 per week to meet my target for debt repayal. I did however find my engagement ring which I thought was lost and also a brand new pair of block ballet shoes that DD had worn once. They cost £50 so I would hope to get at least £25 for them. I am going through my loft contents to see what we have that I can get rid of. I have come across the x factor live tour guide when we went to see Shayne Ward so I might get a couple pounds for that as well. I can only try.

If you've paid if off why keep it? Can you not reduce/get rid of it? I just kept mine with a £100 and use it as a buffer zone. Luckily only used it once.
