    Easily a NSD today making it number 16.

    On the countdown to my week off on holiday, I can't wait and it's been a long time since I've looked forward to a week away like this.

    My other bank account has been accepted to upgrade to the basic current account status which is good. Logged on to see tonight and there it was all set up and ready stating 'current account'. Have come a long way in the last 18mths to get to this point. Funny how little changes make me feel like I have come such a long way and to a financially secure and savvy place.

    NSD 16 and no clothes spend day 14.

    Busy week ahead and its time now to prep the rest of the week to get everything ready!

    Some good news this morning, firstly, another item with a bid on eBay, one that's been for sale for ages too.

    Then a bill received saying I'm in credit and no payment due. Blimey, that's a surprise. Checked it and it's correct, not a mistake as I though at first. That was well worth saving up for the last 6 months to make that yearly payment!

    I'm back after a great holiday.

    Life is busy right now, in a really good way.

    Good news on the long term loan repayment plan, all going well and the amount of interest owed is reducing nicely now the overpayments are being made. I'm aiming now to pay it off in 18 months now I've realised the interest is going to be less and the settlement amount is lower too.

    Excellent result and I'm really glad I took the step to start overpaying to pay it off rather than taking out another loan or leaving it for another 25 years.

    Looks by the time I've paid it off I'll have paid of the loan and all credit cards before the time the loan the bank offered me 18 months ago would have been paid off if I had taken it out. Really glad I didn't take out that consolidation loan out and just paid it off myself with plenty of had work and determination myself!

    Coin collecting update
    £2 = £64
    50p = £20
    20p = £30
    5p = £5
    Coppers = £3
    £1 treat tin = £38
    Total = £160

    Time to pay it into the bank while I continue to save and decide what to spend it on, a long way to go yet!

    5 more payments to go and the loan is paid off. Then the real repayment begins on the final remaining long term loan.

    Have just worked out that without taking the reduced interest into account I can pay it off in the three years I originally planned. I'll have a much better idea in 6 months time when much more is paid off. All going well!

    A good day yesterday, uni course completed and passed. It's been a right old journey over the last 4 years to get here but worth every step when I think about how far I've come in that time, a long way indeed.

    Looking forward to life without study in it, for now. My overwhelming feeling about this was the thought it's over, at last!

    Mind you who knows what the future will bring and I'm sure this is just a break!

    It's going to take some getting used to having spare time again, nice though!
