11 items sold on eBay over the last 2 days - not bad totals there £40 cash and £55 in paypal minus postage fees so might get £70 to the loan overpayment account

Caved into a coffee to wake me up this morning as I felt groggy with tiredness and cold - nice as it was long train journey and work day today meeting. We missed the train back by 2 minutes and got back an hour later than planned. Made myself do Shred when i got back as planned so at least that got done. Also arranged for an eBay buyer to come and collect 2 items that were easier to collect for me and I've wanted rid of for a long time. A lot more space freed up in the spare room of doom now with those 2 large items gone.

Better get parceling up those sales then!

Anyway, all over and done with for this week as it'd old job time and I had a good catch up with a friend this afternoon who has also had some really good job news too. And then we moved onto other aspects of life and easily found a path for ourselves and our futures that were completely realistic and achievable, great stuff there!

Managed a NSD at long last, payday tomorrow and down quite a lot but hey no worries I'm happy in the new place so I don't mind at all.

NSD 23 and no clothes spend day27

Tomorrow is hair cut day and cleaning day after work in the morning and an eBay collection. Also posted all sales today to the buyers and have come out with another £79 to overpay on the loan by after all fees and postage has been paid. Happy days!

    Payment made to loan
Overpayment of £39 made with the other £40 to pay in the bank and pay once it's in there
Up to £596 now overpaid and £1000 saved up pay off in long term account.
Only £4 more to over pay and that £600 paid off through eBay sales and one extra water bill payment.

Will get there in 3 years for certain, maybe sooner let's see!

Well a pretty busy afternoon after work this morning. Work ok same as usual and received another compliment from a colleague about looking well and better than I did when I was there full time - must be true then despite me not seeing it! Feeling it though.

A great hair cut from my hair dresser who is ace at the moment. Then most of the cleaning done including my least favourite job of sweeping and mopping the floors, bathroom also cleaned and hoovered everywhere too. Then eBayer buyer called to collect their purchase, then out with the dog for his walk then back to do Shred day4 level2 completed at last.

    End of month roundup time
NSD 24/25 - one short this time, first time for ages that's happened.
Clothes - £0 spend for the 10th month in a row
Transport to work costs - £129 - over by £9 - unavoidable as all I've done is go to work and back
Food - £131.61 - ridiculous £31.61 over - what on earth! I will do better in March that's for certain

Hmm, not very good this month - over on everything, thought I'd took my eye off things somewhat. Will be tough going in March as done on money some more this month. Will have to stay vigilant to not go overdrawn. One good thing, did stay in credit again making it 5 months in a row since I was overdrawn for the last time. Excellent progress there.

Tomorrow off to visit mum, then Sunday is study day - boo!

How could I forget? I finally saved up enough to pay the Line Saver as per my plan. Took the plunge and paid it off tonight, getting a bigger discount on the monthly bill than I expected so that's some good news.

I'll have to rewrite my outgoings to reflect the changes as amounts go up and down in the new financial year and see what the total comes out as - up or down, who knows?

Worth doing though as even though I'm saving and spending the same for next year its still less than I pay per month now for phone and BB

  • More shredding from the past sorted out in a carrier bag ready to go next week. Glad that job is ticked off the list as that's one folder all sorted out leaving a few more to go, but not too many, I'm almost there now! On top of paperwork, organised, filed and up to date.

  • Just catching up :)

I'm amazed that you haven't bought any clothes for 10 months! Well done. And 24 nsd's is not to be sniffed at, I probably manage 15 tops on a good month!

So, anyway, GG, is he single? You're getting on splendidly by the sounds of it, why not take the plunge and ask him out for a coffee? He sounds keen from what you've said? Give him a little nudge and it might turn into more than flirting at work. ;)

Hi there DFW, thanks for the catch up

I managed another NSD today which was a surprise and a gift of another £2 coin from mum along with her treating to me to 2 new pairs of jeans which I think she did after I told her about all the debt repayment on the long term loan and and reduced income - so kind and thoughtful of her as usual.

I need to swap one pair as we got the wrong leg length by accident so I'll do that while out buying the train tickets for next week at work.

All means I'm on track for another No Spend month on clothes all being well.

Frugal tea tonight of dhal, veg, rice and pitta bread - tasty though! Then oven baked rice pudding which must be the easiest thing in the world to make.Weigh out put in a dish, in the low oven and leave for 2 hrs - ta da!

Forgot to mention, phone paid off and code sent off for 30% off airtime monthly cost - all done and waiting to go for next week and see if they approve the code.

The rest of eBay sales paid into the bank today then sent off to the loan repayment account making another £40 repaid. Relisted everything that did not sell last week as it's free listing again this weekend.Might stick a couple of more items on there tomorrow.

Tomorrow I must get on with some uni work as I need to have done some by next week as the time ticks down to the deadline. Also do some exercise, pamper self and do nails of course!

Tell me why I wake up earlier end more wide awake than I do to get up for work? That routine is well engrained I suppose.

Not being one to waste time I've cleared out, cleaned and rearranged the biggest kitchen cupboard as I didn't get round to it yesterday and missed it last week. One more cupboard to do and all are done. Thought I'd do it while I don't have much on socially, as you never know when things might change and life gets busier. Almost there now and the whole kitchen has been cleaned, result!

Hair has had it's pampering for this week of pretreatment and deep condition, also shoved on a face mask to catch up with the facial pamper. Just nails left to sort out and paint later on.

Found 2 more items to list on eBay today then it's uni work and Shred once more and more rubbish chucking out to clear done of the spare room of doom and garden for bin collection day this week.

    How exciting!
