  • Loving the killer outfit idea, vibes or no vibes it's nice to feel pretty and confident.
Good job on tightening the strings for the last week of the month, the week before payday I always worry about having to use my OD, then I forget I am worried, and I use it!

Work ok today and the office wishing me well as I left off the old job. Had a lovely comment about my outfit from another colleague which was nice of course! Old job getting harder mentally going back to,would be good to leave for good. Hey ho, one day I will.

My friend got some good news about her next career news which I'm really pleased to hear about.

Not much else to report apart from a NSD today making it 18 and no clothes spend day 20. Did most of the weekly shop which consisted of the usuals with a few bits left to get tomorrow.

Also did more life laundry today as I continue to work my way through the bag of shredding containing the reminders of my previous out of control spending which is all addressed and in hand now. Might take done more in tomorrow and I might finally get rid of it all soon. That will be 2 full bags kept so for years and years and years gone. Now, that's progress!

  • Well I did it! Shredding fitted into one carrier bag and the 2nd bin liner is empty. The bin bags of many old papers, statements, receipts and more all cleared and shredded apart from this final bag which I'll get done over the next few weeks. Then I'll move onto the folders of current papers and make a start on those in my filing system. There won't be too many as most are up to date and not stuffed full of papers from yesterday's years.

That is one big job ticked off. I had those bin bags stuffed full for years after I finally took the plunge to open all my mail after I reached my low point financially and emotionally. Now I'm recovered financially and emotionally and have worked hard to reach this amazing place with all credit cards paid off and cleared, they were the final reminder of my past. Certainly the right time for them to go and now they almost have!

    Feeling good!

Busy morning at work meaning it happily passed by quickly with a wave and a smile saying goodbye until next week.

Called on the way home to check a second hand phone out to replace mine and be able to use my sim in as there's still 6 months to go on that plan. Checked the phone out and thank goodness I asked if it could be unlocked and how much if would cost. Turns out not easy to unlock and if so could cost between £70-90. Hmm good job I decided to check with my network operator first. Stuck to my decision and not swayed by the lure of a bigger memory capacity. Returned back home after a couple of errands rang my network operator to discuss it. They told me there was no way they would unlock the phone, good job I didn't buy it and decided to wait. Then after a little chat about why I had asked then passed onto retention a to discuss a deal. Turns out I could get a good one for me that I'm really pleased with!

I can pay upfront taking the monthly cost back down, the cost is the the max of my budget, a brand new phone, plus a 30% reduction in the line rental takes the cost waaaaay down. It's not the latest model, but it's brand new, no loose connections, fluff or scratches (yet) and that's ok with me. I used the budget from the bike I was going to buy then decided against to continue to use my current one so all happy there too!

I'll pick it up happily on Wednesday next week and I'm looking forward to a new phone that may stay charged for longer than 12hrs!

Managed to get bedding out early enough to practically dry which is always good at this time of year. Better get on with changing it and doing a bit of cleaning before the rugby starts otherwise I won't have done that much this afternoon!

  • Well done on sorting out some filing (or shredding!) I did my old CC and loan statements a while back and it was great getting rid of it all :) felt like a weight was lifted getting rid of it.

I also hung my washing out earlier for the first time this year! And it dried! :T

Hmm, not good, totted up the food budget spends and gone over by £22 this month. That's not very good is it?

Also wrote yesterday off food wise with way too much sweet stuff. What's going on? Feel like I need to up the controls a bit and reign things in a little. Weigh day yesterday and 1.5kg back on this week after the loss of last couple of weeks. Chest is better and I can face some exercise again meaning it's back to Shred this weekend.

I'm walking up to town to meet my friend and buy a few eBay postage bits using PayPal money. Also pay the phone money back into my account ready for next week. Then back to do some of the cleaning, watch the rugby, long dog walk, Shred, think of something for tea and make rice pudding this week for pud.

Weigh in day next Friday to monitor things and see if it's a blip or not.

The other nice thing to do is find a case for my new phone using a voucher and also order a mothers day present while I'm doing that to get delivered at the same time.

Weird to feel some things slipping slightly after all this time, I'm sure I can get back on my track again with a few adjustments. Having said that apart from going over the food shopping this month the rest of the finances are ok and on track.

Let's see if I can make it a NSD weekend and if I can finally get around to some uni work at long last.

Well that was a busy day. No Shred today as I'm off walking tomorrow and a day out, yeah! All jobs done today, washing out on the line and dried in the breeze, cleaning all finished off including sweeping and mopping the floors.

A lovely veg casserole for tea, nice! No rice pud made as that stew was mega filling. Managed to snaffle a final cream egg though! No more left to eat here now, for now anyway!

Why do I always get £2 coins in my change when I am out of pennies! 3 today in change, typical!

A great day out today walking in the wide open space of the country side. Blew the cobwebs off me in the breezy gale force winds which is great! I have woken up after winter is almost over full of energy, yeah!

Only a low spend day on parking and a great day out walking. A brill weekend here.

Back to the grindstone tomorrow and all work stuff ready to go for the usual morning dash. Also did the ironing so all jobs ticked off for the weekend bar the uni work once again. I will do an hour this week to make a start then some for certain next weekend as I want it over and done with by this time next month.

Managed to keep up most of the weekly pampering and I've almost worked my way through a bottle of nail varnish for once! Nails painted after a tidy file, face mask yesterday and bath to ease off my slightly achy legs!

    Work went ok today

Back home and did Shred level 2, not easy after a 2 week break that's for certain. Hoping to pick up this week and feel like it is getting a little easier by this weekend.

And finally NSD 21 and no clothes spend day 24

Ordered mother's day pressie and my new phone case and protector using my survey voucher which is always a good result

First things first, new phone arrived and collected. All up and working. I'll ring and pay it of tomorrow and get that all sorted out including the reduced tariff.

NSD 22 today along with no clothes day 25.

Off on another meeting tomorrow with work but should get back in time to sort all that out.
