Not much to report today really.
Managed to get the lady on the perfume counter to discount the perfume gift set price down to last weekend's price with no trouble at all - she offered to do it! How nice of her to do that with no prompting. This one is for my friend who wanted one as it was at such a good price. There are very kind and reasonable people in this world after all, very reassuring. Mind you if it was to get a spend rather than no spend that might be why it happened.
What else, washing dried today - yeah, bedding fully dried for once outside then ironing done tonight from the weekend. Hardly a wild day here then!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Not much to report at all today. Stuck in the office today as it's rained very heavily here all day, wet on the way home then soaked when out with the dog! Short walk tonight as a result.
Shred done day 9, one more to go then level 1 finished, yeah!
NSD 4 and no clothes spend day 5.
Phonecall from CPP again today bounced back again between them and the bank and more phone calls. Who knows what will happen next with that. Bank to ring then next.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Good outfit sorted for tomorrow
. Let me exude self confidence and glow and see how I get on at work.
It's freedom Thursday for me wearing another skirt hardly worn or not at all depending which one I wear. Freedom Thursday rather than Friday for me due to my work hours. Long work day tomorrow then short day Friday and it's the weekend.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Well done on managing your budget and staying away from the shops. Looking forward to reading the next chapter of the story with GG!;)0

First let me get my rant out of the way about work. Old work this afternoon, head bitten off by one line manager for no reason. Charmed I'm sure. I took the step to clear the air later got a hug to make it better. Hey not my rubbish but theirs so no hug required. Lots of fed up people in there today too. Can certainly feel the miserable atmosphere. Not rubbing off on me though and glad I'm not there much at all these days.
Now that's over and out time to declare NSD 5 and no clothes spend day 6.
Good chat with a friend about finances today and changes we are both making to reign the spending in and repay all our debts. Both of us making good progress. Plus another chat with another friend about priorities and not ignoring the real essentials in life for things we don't need at this point when other things are priorities. Talking of which car tax reminder arrived today with no price increase this year which I'm pleased about. I've saved up all year and have enough to buy 12 mths in one go for the 2nd year running with cash, excellent news!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Forgot to mention, got the number of a builder from a friend who's had a lot of work done. I'll give him a ring to get a quote for the bathroom which is the room that really needs a full renovation, update and rearrange. Really pleased I decided on the priority opposed to the room that's not the priority.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550

At last after another round of being passed around between the bank and CPP, a complaint has been raised. It's taken 5 weeks to get to this point, a lot of phone calls and no one wanting to take it on. CPP have agreed to raise the complaint. I'll be surprised if they find in my favour and if not, it's off to the ombudsman once again.
The other day I received a letter from the ombudsman stating they were investigating the bank charges complaint and I should hear within 6 weeks. Again, no idea if they'll find in my favour or not. Either way it's worth exhausting the whole process to the very end.
Easily managed a NSD today making it NSD 6 and no clothes spend day 7.
Work short but not sweet this week over and done with at old place. Cleaned the gutters out of last week's sawdust mess left behind after the tree cutting back mess. Also chucked more stuff out from the garden as per the plan of chucking out every bin week. A little space cleared in the garden, swept up and tidied up. Cleaned the windows outside to get the sawdust off again, a bonus job done! Worst job if the week just done of sweep and mopped the floors.
Got weighed today and a tiny loss from 2 weeks ago meaning Shred might be doing this or the fact I'm more active than I gave been walking places.
Will have a think about what needs doing tomorrow and make a list to tick off. As for tonight, Shred still to do and that's about it!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

How come I wake up very early on a Saturday? Of course the early morning routine continues at the weekend......the dog looked very bleary eyed when I got up, more than I was as I was wide awake at 5.20am!
Bedding onto wash then, just waiting to take the dog for a walk when it gets light. Then onto the list. Looked up a dhal recipe, debating whether to cook that today for tea along with soup. Think I might do the lentil and egg curry and leave risotto for a tea in the week as that's pretty quick and easy to do. Concentrating on using up what I have in this week to stay on track with the food budget this month. Looks ok so far, need to pay done money into the bank to replace the card spends from this week as I forgot to take the cash with me.
Then let's see what the day brings. Oh yes, added up the spends so far this month and sorted the receipts out meaning I'm up to date with everything. Banking checks done and 3 DD left to go out this month, should scrape in credit this month. Better than going overdrawn though and that's the plan working. Plus as I was £60 down this month that's a pretty good result I reckonfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
I'm another one trying to use up what we have in the cupboards/freezers, I'm determined to stick to the budget this month (i'm sure I say this every month though lol)
You're doing really well with the savings pots! I totally failed when i tried that savings approach as I rarely had any cash on me to begin with so never had anything to put in my jarsxx
