Maybe because its not an important issue and people are making a mountain out of a mole hill and obviously don't understand how the internet works.

If it concerns people, then it IS an important issue to them. MSE Andrea did not return to assuage the worries, that fell to other forum members. Hence the comment.

But there is NO link between MSE/FB/Twitter unless a user wants there to be a link, i.e. by using the same username across all platforms, or referring to/publically advertising other social media they use.

I really fail to understand what the fuss is. The MSE twitter account isn't about to publish people's posts word for word, identifying the origin.

I'm on twitter too and follow MSE but have only ever seen offers posted as appear in the weekly email.

I do wish people would learn how the internet and social media works before scaring people into possibly unsubscribing from MSE in a panic! It's really very unnecessary.

Plus, a number of questions were asked about whether re-publication on a third party site is in contravention of MSE's T&Cs. That issue wasn't addressed.

We're not scaremongering. We're trying to get some answers from the people who make these decisions. But it's obvious that MSE Towers don't want to answer such questions, hence why this thread (and other similar ones) have disappeared down the boards. I'm not sure why it was resurrected.
