I knew of someone who was a thief, the police/courts knew he was a thief. I neither hung around with him or considered him a friend. I just knew him by sight.0

Unlike peachy prices post who knew exactly what he did, we all know thieves by sight, but don't have in depth conversations( lies) about their sad victories..I repeat I'd not just sit by and let them get away with it.0 -
trouble is now if you know a thieves name, then you can almost guarantee they will have a facebook page and on their they will brag about their victories and even their court cases0

I know exactly the method he used to steal, yet I never had any conversation with him let alone an in depth one. Did peachyprice state they had an in depth conversation? Time to stop digging I suggest.0 -

Spot on - many moons ago when I worked for a well known chemist we would see this a lot, teenagers wanting to exchange small beauty accessories for CDs. All the CDs were tagged, plus there was a security guard on that section, but the accessories were not, and were very close to the door. Eventually we stopped any exchanges without a receipt unless the item was faulty, in which case they would be offered an identical replacement. The look on their faces when they left the store ... with an identical pair of scissors!0 -
I'm not meaning to make an attack on peachy. Just responding to posts.0

That's fine, if you do so based on what is actually said, rather than your own interpretation. Shoplifting has a myriad of scam scenarios designed to extract £'s. Just because you don't realise/understand them doesn't make it not so.
It's Friday (where I am), kick your shoes off put your feet up and have a glass when you can!0 -
