Hi, I have no idea where to begin but hope.you can help.

I have had 2 lots of blood test on day 3 and day 21. One lot came vack and said I had low hormones the other one came vack saying.i didnt ovulate.
I have had ultrasound and foumd our left ovary is shrivelled up and not working and the right one.is.full of big cysts.

I was tested due a number of family members not being able to conceive. The docs are sayimg.till iv tried.for.a year.they wont do anything. I dont no what is wrong with me, what these cysts are, am I fertile and what if.anything can be done.

Please help im going out of my mind

    Thankyou in advance

Hi - it's difficult to comment and your doctor is probably the best person to explain what all the tests actually mean in terms of trying to get pregnant.

However, I think that cysts on ovaries can (but not always do) cause delays in getting pregnant. What I would guess they are doing is giving you a year to see if you will experience this or not. If by this time you've not been able to get pregnant, they will have a pretty good idea that it's the cysts that are causing it, then they can hopefully take some action. This is probably also linked to the lack of ovulation this month.

I know lots of women who have ovarian cysts and have managed to conceive either naturally or following taking certain drugs, so please don't worry too much about the long term. However, I would make an appointment with your GP to talk about the results and get them to explain clearly what they mean and what the plan is, so you have it clear in your mind.

Hello to everyone new. Welcome and happy New Year.

Sorry haven't got time to read everything but hope everyone is doing ok and hugs of course for anyone that needs it.

AFM - so I caved and tested again today. 3 days before AF is due. Def BFN this time. Totally expected really but can't lie I am gutted. This was the only time for months where my work holidays are likely to fall in my fertile period and really never have any energy for anything else when working. Had a little cry this morning. Now I'll just pick myself up and stop feeling sorry for myself.

    Love to all x

Actually I had quite a fight to get my consultant to accept the stenosis was real. He said it looked fine, but the IVF clinic said it wasn't. And that went back and forth about 3 times before I made them call each other and sort it out! They couldn't see the stenosis during colsposcopy, and only accepted it when the consultant actually saw the ultrasound image on the retained blood.

My periods have been fairly regular but on the short/light side, and getting lighter recently, so this had been a worry of mine. They aren't particularly painful though so I don't know. I had been on the pill for several years beforehand so I feel like I don't know what's 'normal' for me anyway, which makes it harder.

I really appreciate you sharing your experiences with me and will definitely be raising this with my consultant. Just want to fast forward to my appointment now. However problematic it is I'd rather know what we're dealing with.

Sorry to hear that Jazz, Betty is right though keep trying and your doctor is a good person to talk to about specifics. How long have you been trying to conceive?
Good luck Tink with the new job, always think it must be lovely working in a school and the holidays are good.
Sorry Frankie, try and resist as long as you can. Not that I can talk, I tested yesterday for some crazy reason on cycle day 21! Obviously nothing showing but why do we do it to ourselves!

    Hi ladies,
I hope you all had a fab christmas and new year.
Great to see some new year BFPs.
    Welcome to the newbies.

Well I am having a frustrating week in ttc. We are now officially over 1year ttc. Our new years resolution is to remain positive.
I have been hanging out for AF because once it arrives i can try and book my hsg (no available appts for last couple months).

AF was due Sunday and has not arrived. I have been 28-30 day cycle since coming off the pill.
This is the first time I've gone late (cd33). I did a hpt yesterday - negative.

So now I feel that the witch is just playing tricks on me - I want my appt and to move forward with fs but she's just playing with me.

I would love to be excited about being late - but since Sunday/Monday I have felt that she's on her way (usually how i feel the day she arrives). I don't ever get AF symptoms (no boob pain, cramps, etc) but I just know its on its way.

I have high hopes that 2014 is the year for all of us ladies!

    Hey Ladies

    Congrats Paula!

Well still no sign of AF (according to FF it's due today). I've had stomach aches for about the past 4 days which don't really feel like cramp but I don't know what they are. I've also noticed in the past 2 days that my boobs are sore, not excruciatingly painful but uncomfortable to touch. This is different for me as usually I only get terrible cramp as an AF sign. Also I've had a lot of EWCM for the past three days but its really noticeable today (sorry if TMI!). I'm really tempted to do a test but having already done 2 this month to no avail I'm sure I'm not pregnant. After my last 2 cycles which have both been over 30days & with different to my usual symptoms (although sore boobs is new this month as is going off Pepsi) I'm 99% sure I'm just symptom spotting. Hubby is so desperate to have a baby & I don't want to disappoint him again this month, seeing his wee face when AF came last month was horrible!

Sorry for being a bit down!

    Baby dust to all :)

    xx

Can I be updated as 0dpo please?

Think I might have ov'd a bit earlier but as I didn't set up my cbfm this mth I'm not too sure.

Other than that not much else to report here trying not to think about ttc given that we are not having any luck right now xx
