Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 10

Hi

Im TTC number 1 and I find the idea of having a baby extremely scary!! One moment I think 'oh I feel so broody, I so wish I was pregnant' and the next I think 'I can't believe we are actually trying for a baby'!!

Nothing here to report, no af, have had mild af cramps for the last couple of days and feel bloated- but after a 100 day cycle last time Im not expecting af any time soon!!

I started a new job on Monday (same company, new team/ job) and Im finding it quite a distraction from ttc/ lack of af frustrations.

Hi all

Happy new year!

I haven't been on in a while as I was getting too caught up in everything.

After finding out no ov on 50mg clomid went back to see FS who prescribed 100mg but before I could run out of the clinic they insisted on doing another scan :mad: so even though no periods for a looooonng time then before clomid they made me have one with provera and when he scanned me on day 29 he told me my lining was too thick :mad:

So I had to take provera again (sad face) and started CD1 on Christmas Day!!! I then had to go back to clinic for another scan as before I could start clomid again they wanted to check my lining was thin enough.

FS wasn't convinced it was but told me to go back home and start taking 100mg of clomid anyway and if don't OV this month I have to have some kind of sample of my lining done.

Took my clomid this time days 5-9 ( due to scan) but when I was originally prescribed it, it says 2-6.... Will this make any difference do you think?

Anyway holding out for OV and booked day 21 blood test.

Does anyone else take 100mg of clomid or higher? My OH nearly didn't make it, I swear I could have killed him sometimes and I think the whole time I irrationally cried! So pleased I was off work

Thank you think I will buy some folic acid and think I will make an appointment with the docs to put my mind at rest. Now have to get my head around all the abbreviations on the forum lol
Suppose I should cut down on the wine too humph!!

Hope the job turns out ok Tink. Been there, done that and I know what you mean. :-)
I had a follow up scan at the hospital this morning and everything is now fine. My body did exactly what it needed to do all by itself, thank goodness. LO is fast asleep now so I am therefore going to make the most of being in the wine and chocolate zone this evening ;-) and return to sensible baby making mode tomorrow.

Just mentioned to hubby that we are probably out this month due to him being away this weekend when I am likely to ov....and he got all huffy! it is HIM that is away, not me! and now we have to have sex tonight to have any chance whatsoever this month and we are both grumpy. Haha.
