** peeps around the door **
Hello Ladies.... can I come and join in from over on the TTC thread? As a couple of the ladies on here probably saw on ttc, I feel a bit lost over there as it has been FAR FAR more than 12 months since we started ttc and really I shouldn't be on there  Purcy was very kind and encouraged me to pop in here for a chat so here I am .....
For anyone who doesn't know me I am 30yrs (31 in November), married since 2010 and have been trying since beginning of 2011 (more "actively" since 2012 though).... I already have a son who is 8yrs but he isn't my DH's (although he has been around since ds was 1yr and he calls him Dad as he has never had contact with his bio father for many reasons) - Really sad that perhaps this will never happen with my OH ... he is a really laid back bloke who doesn't seem too bothered that it hasnt happened yet - which is great in one way, carp in another as it SOMETIMES makes me feel he just doesnt care etc though i know he cares about me iyswim??
I have only got one ovary as i had a ruptured cyst on one of them when i was 13yrs and had the ovary removed - the one which is left has lots of cysts on BUT i appear to ovulate every month (according to CB digital thingy anyway!) and have regular cycles albeit short ones of 26days (ish) and i seem to OV early - ie this month on CD 11 or 12
Anyway - so thats me...Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
Thank you ladies. DH did 2 sperm samples, one month apart, so pretty confident it's not a one off thing. We're waiting for the FS appointment so someone can explain what this means for us.
DH is of course, upset. He's worrying that I wont love him anymore and will leave him and that he's not a proper man. I told my mum earlier and she cried.
Good to see you over here bigmomma. Well, not good, but...you know.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Code from a quick google search it looks like sometimes sperm is produced but doesn't reach the 'end' so to speak for various reasons to do with the vas deferens or blockages, or it can be going 'backwards' into the urine etc & therefore there won't be sperm in the ejaculate. In which case they can harvest the sperm. I know it's not the same but I'm really hoping for you it's something like that that has a solution.0

Code-how are you and hubby today? I (we) have been exactly where you are just now and I know it's not a nice place to be. We went down the sperm retrieval and ICSI route-if there are swimmers being made they will get them out for you and do everything possible to help you. A rubbish SA isn't necessarily the end of the road for you.
I'm usually around a couple of times a day if you ever want to chat, please feel free to PM me if you want x0 -
Thanks mrshappy. We're ok, I think I need us to sit down with the FS and be told exactly what the situation is but I dont know when that will be. I'm not the most patient at the best of times so the not knowing is killing me.
I'm kind of pinning my hopes on icsi and I'm not sure I should be iyswim?
Your story gives me hope though.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Hey, me too, code. OH's knackers purely decorative really so we had ICSI too. You only need one little swimmer and they can suck those straight out the billy-ballbag if need be."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
