I hate it when people are so negative about people needing help ttc I really do code, I'm pretty sure most of them come from the smug fertile type as well grrr
Just because I like to be on lists is it possible to add a section entitled "ttc limbo" even if its just for me because that about sums up my situation

lucy - I could have written those posts! I hate the job, but I feel trapped here. I felt stuck in the last job because of maternity leave. Then I was made messed around, made redundant and eventaully ended up with this job in another part of the same company. I've technically started again so don't have the length of service for any decent maternity cover, but, as you say, I do have the flexibility for IVF.
I've always been so jealous of people who know what they want to do. In some ways I can be quite determined/ambitious so I feel if I just knew what I wanted to do then I could make it happen. But at v nearly 35 and not the faintest idea I don't see it happening!
I know I'm stuck here for a few months anyway. Start ICSI #2 sometime in Nov/Dec so just going to have and wait and see what happens there. If it works (and sticks!) this time, I'll sit it out here to get at least some maternity pay, then leave. If it doesn't work I'll just have to find something else as this is seriously doing my head in.
Am starting to think about having a little car accident or something like that so I don't have to come in.
PM - have nothing useful to say but am sending massive, massive hugs your way. I wish it didn't have to be like this, for any of us xx.0 -
Yep, that sounds exactly like my plan too Tea. I NEED this next go to work, and I'll just about manage to stick it out a bit longer, claim my maternity and then quit. If not, I seriously cannot stick it out forever.
See I kind of know what I'd like to do jobwise. I'd love to be a teacher. I'm currently a lawyer (lol) and it really is not for me! But there's no way I could start on the long path to becoming a teacher right now whilst I'm stuck in the middle of all this fertility rubbish.
I have absolutely everything crossed that this 2nd time works for you Tea, I really do. You deserve it so much xxNo Buying Toiletries Challenge since 23/10/2011

Hopefully we can keep telling ourselves we have a plan, and that might help! Just a shame it's a plan in which the biggest variable is completely out of our hands. Have everything crossed for your little frostie. How does a FET work - do they need to stop you ov'ing in some way, or do they just bung it back in?!
Just sent OH a massive text rant (not aimed at him, just about work)... hoping he'll take the rather unsubtle hint that I need cheering up and get a takeaway tonight lol.0 -
Part Mouse - Just logged on and I am gutted for you. Hopefully some momentum will gather now and you will ovulate again next cycle. Sending you a massive hug and a free pass to treat yourself to something lovely this weekend. I think I am joining you - I'm scared to go the loo to check
Purcy81 - Really sorry to hear about your guinea pig. My pets are such a comfort to me and I understand how much they mean to people. (Just remembered another phrase that annoys me ' Once you've had kids, you'll realise that the love for your pets means nothing' What a slap in the face that one is!)
Tea lover - As the saying goes 'Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life' However there aren't many of us who the luxury to re-train or be picky. If you do decide to stick it out, hopefully you will get a BFP very soon and then during your pregnancy & maternity leave you can research your future prospects.
LucyLoo77  Nice to meet you. Good luck with your little frostie.
Hope everything is ok with everyone else. I am feeling much better now that I have my FS appointment next Wednesday - I'm not very good at waiting0 -
A FET sounds pretty straightforward actually! (well certainly a lot better than a fresh cycle anyway). As soon as AF arrives I'm to phone the clinic and go for a scan (like a normal IVF scan). Then I take 4 little tablets a day for about 2 weeks. Another scan at about day 10 to check no big follicles/no ovulation, and if it all looks ok and the lining is nice and thick then it's time to start cyclogest and call it 'pretend EC day'. Then 5 days later it's a jab of Buserelin (which the clinic do) and then the frostie gets popped back in! (assuming it's survived defrosting - it comes out the freezer about an hour or so before ET, so you don't know til the last minute).
So not even any injecting myself! Sounds ok to me, certainly compared to a normal cycle (well, I'll wait and see!).No Buying Toiletries Challenge since 23/10/2011

Hello ladies,
My first post here, been on the normal TTC thread for over a year. We've been TTC since 03/12. All my blood tests are fine, just need to do the dye scan next time AF leaves town. VERY bad SA results : severely low count, motility, bad morphologyFS sent a precription for another SA in 3 months, then we'll be referred for artificial insemination aparently.
There you golooking forward to getting to know you all

Hi PommeVerte :hello: Welcome to the thread, everyone is lovely here - although of course I'm sorry for circumstances that mean you've had to come over here.
Nice to meet you too Danielley :hello:No Buying Toiletries Challenge since 23/10/2011

Purcy so sorry to hear about your guinea pig, hugs to you.
Danielley hope the witch stays away for you.
Well my wonderful husband was supposed to be helping out with some stuff today, he's gone shopping, had a great argument before he left, sometimes I d wonder why I'm even married.0 -
I'll do a gentle version of the Bring on the Egg dance.... more of a slow waltz than a jive this time.
Thanks tea. I'm slightly worried about OHSS especially as I'm on the 2nd lowest dose of stimming drugs. The clinic staff have been cautious so I feel happy they'll catch any over-stimulation before it can run out of control.
Big hugs and a huge pile of chocolate brownies PM, so sorry to hear that AF reared her ugly head. Purcy81 big hugs too.
Hi Lucy, I remember you. How are you?
Hi PommeVerte, hope your stay is short. The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0
