Hi all amazing lady bugs ......

So CD1 here and tomorrow is my first clomid dose/cycle... all booked in for my scans & PCT on CD14 too.....

Any hints tips things to look out for on clomid????

    Hi Tinkwings

I only had one cycle of Clomid and I felt quite crampy very early on in my cycle, almost as if I could feel it working !?! I also had a slight bleed mid cycle which was unheard of for me.

I was told to stop after the Day 21 bloods showed that I was overproducing Progesterone, so I probably didn't need it in the first place.

    Good luck with it!

Am a bit late but massive congrats TACOD! Wonderful news
  • Hi tinks do you use CBFM?

Well clinic hae told me I've got 7 frosties safely tucked away.
  • Hi all
*waves* Tink, think everyone is different on clomid. My second month on it, I was a wreak. I work in a highly stressful Job and couldn't cope as well as I normally do. Was crying all over the place. Speaking of Jobs, seen a job I would love to try, but can not try to get it. The Job I have now allows to swap shifts for appointments atm and treatment later.
Adverts, find myself shouting at them in the car on the radio. Many over the Christmas time about giving for children who don't get gifts etc.
Mum and Me doing the adverts last year is the worse one ever!! Glad it's not on anymore.
Next appointment end of next month to discuss treatment plan. Seems ages away.

Jammy26 - Good Luck on the Clomid - in the nicest possible way as someone else mentioned, try not to think of it as a miracle drug. I did and I was so very disappointed. 3 months on the stuff and it didn't make me ovulate once! I am due to go back on it next month after a 3 month break on Metformin to see if it helps this time! - I am not hopeful anymore.

I am trying very hard to be sensible and understand that it might not make me ovulate and even if it does there are no guarantees of a pregnancy but it is difficult after so much heartbreak not to get your hopes up :o]

So far I have had no noticeable side effects and I am on day 3, so fingers crossed I won't become a gibbering wreck this month!

Oh I know Hun, we've been trying 3 years now and I really though Clomid would work for me when I was given it last July.
I did a cycle on 50mg, a cycle on 100mg and a cycle on 150mg and none of them made me ovulate.
They decided to try me on metformin for 3 months and then go back on clomid + metformin which I should be doing next week.

The thing I noticed on clomid, was I was stressed. Constantly. Everyday I was wishing another away. Waiting on CD1, then waiting on CD21 for the blood test then waiting on those results/a call I usually had to make myself! Then finding it didn't work and waiting for CD1 again, and on it went like that. I was thinking about it all day every day, wondering if it was working, then wondering if I could be pregnant. Then the disappointment when it didn't.
That's why I just want you to know, don't put all your faith in it. But I really hope it works for you :-)

What dose have you started on?

PM - I hope you get to see someone soon about all this bleeding!

I have started on 50mg, I feel I have wished the last year or so away always knowing what cycle day I am on and obsessively recording every aspect of ttc, the GP raised an eyebrow when I presented him with a dossier of ttc data from when we bd and what time of day etc :-)

That's exactly it! Always knowing what day your on I think is very stressful!
These last 3 months I have stopped all that and just chilled out. And it's been wonderful.
Are you being scanned or just day 21 bloods? I only had the bloods and it was hard waiting so long!

Clomid messed with my head, and metformin is still messing with my stomach!
