WTDN, I was told they prefer r before ET purely because it makes it easier for them. As far as I know, it makes no difference to how you absorb it or the effects etc. So definitely don't stress about it!0

Ww so sorry to hear your news, its awful losing someone close to you. Life really needs to give us break.
Exciting times for so many, wishing you all the best for the treatment and other routes that are ahead.0 -
WTDN, I don't know why they say one then the other but if it's because of the 'left overs' then you only did it once and it should all dissolve by tomorrow. They tell you a huge amount of information in a short amount of time so it's not surprising some will get lost in translation. I was told yesterday that I would have been given a pregnancy sheet - like what to not eat. I did not get it. Will you please tell me if there's anything important on it? Good luck for tomorrow.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Sending sticky vibes T2D & Peonie.
WW - big hugs. Life can be incredibly unfair and overwhelming. Take care of yourself. The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0 -
Really strange question, but what is an average amount of male deposit? I can't help but look at hubby's deposit earlier and think there's practically nothing there.
We've already had one test where they said there wasn't enough there to test properly.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
vesper - not sure if this helps but I thought there was hardly any the one time I saw it in a pot lol. Usually OH 'deposits' at the hospital (on his own, obviously!) but he's also commented that there doesn't seem much when you see it like that.
There seems far more of it when you're trying to avoid the wet patch :rotfl:.0 -
He deposited the first time at the hospital but said he didn't like it as he had to do it in the toilet that it used by the people waiting for blood tests. And was put off. So this time did it at home and had a mad rush over there to get it there on time.
Thanks for that, I can't say its something I have ever thought about before this morning. And yes agree on the wet patch!Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -

We've had the same, where the first sample wasn't big enough to do all the tests, and the second one was a bit bigger but still apparentlyonly just within 'normal' volume. Apparently the average is 2-5ml. Hubby's first one was 1ml and the second was 2ml. He did both at the hospital. Unfortunately I doubt that had much effect on the swimmers themselves which were few and far between0 -
I've heard normal is 1.5-5ml. I seem to recall seeing something with DH's name of it saying 1.5ml.
So I am rapidly becoming one of those women who worry about everything when TTC. I had managed to keep sane(ish) until now. The post ET document said to avoid all caffeine, including chocolate!! First thought was 'thats rubbish', but despite myself... I've now thrown out all chocolate. And I ordered meat well done today, when I normally get it rare. Plus I'm paranoid about getting cold after reading it's important to keep warm.
And it's only day 1!0
