  • Hi Hashbrown, it is indeed really stressful.

It sounds like it's time you headed to the GP if you haven't already. It could be that you have just been unlucky but if it's stressing you out so much you should maybe get started with a few tests. I found it slightly comforting to be actually "doing" something.
They will do a "Day 21" blood test on you to check you are ovulating and they will want your oh to go for a sperm analysis.

Hi Clevernamehere. Hope your stay is short. No advice unfortunately as I don't know timescales in Scotland and never had a fibroid/polyp.

Hi Hashbrown. Definitely go to your GP and give them your TTC history. They should offer you blood tests to check your hormones and possibly an ultrasound to check your womb & ovaries. Your OH must have an sperm analysis as well. Take a copy of NICE guidelines on fertility investigations in case your GP tries to fob you off (e.g. telling you to TTC a few more months). There's no guarantee the tests will reveal a fertility problem but that doesn't mean you can't access treatment if you need it.

Maybe have a few months without using OPKs and just DTD when you want to? I used OPKs for a few months and found it quite stressful (bl00dy things were rarely positive ). I doubt you're doing anything much wrong but a trip to your GP will help.

    Ooh newbies! Hello :)

Am supposed to be cleaning but have had to come to bed as have such bad stomach pains. Getting really scared about what's happening in there, and what the ivf drugs have done to the endo. Am also v scared about how much it's going to hurt to go through it all again. Really worried that my bowel might never recover, and not sure I can take much more pain like I've had this afternoon. Feeling v sorry for myself!

Think I'm over the worst of the pain for now, which means I'd better get up and start the housework.

Wtdn I'm dreading having a hysterectomy not to many years away. If the treatment never works then that's the final kick in the teeth.

Oooh newbies. Hope your stay here is short, in the nicest possible way.

PM - that sucks about the hysterectomy. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed that the treatment works for you.

Clevernamehere - it depends where you are - the waiting lists will be different. I had mine at ERI and the appointment came through quite quickly.

I've been decluttering the bedroom today. Several bags of rubbish and a million loads of washing later, my old lady back is hurting me. But my wardrobe is pleasingly empty. I need to buy new clothes but I refuse to spend money on clothes when I'm this big as I'm hoping I wont be for long. Am now keeping an eye on the tumble drier as its making an ominous burning smell. I don't have anywhere to hang the wet clothes though, so still using it. We're painting the bedroom tomorrow, then getting the new carpet next weekend and the new bed soon after that.

Code I hope the table dryer holds out. I know now that even if the treatment works I'm still going to need the op as nothing is controlling the bleeding. I'm so aware though that once its dont there's no having kids for me.really wasn't expecting that today either.

Hugs PartMouse it sounds like you really need them.

I don't have a secret baby stash either just one very spoiled and adored rescue dog. He's helped me chill out generally enormously.

Hello to all the newbies, I'm relatively new here as well. Hope we all have short stays here :)
