tea lover I'm so impressed you didn't slap your friend. It's astonishing how dim people can be.

I'm spending the day making my way through all the forms we've been given. It's a lot to get your head around.

Third prolactin test still over 1000mg (or whatever - normal level 400ish), so got an appointment with the endocrinologist coming through the post :( Anyone been down this route? Ta xx

I had this, went to the endocrinologist (who earned my eternal rage by talking to me like I was 5.) They did a further blood test that was within normal range so told me to come back if I hadn't conceived in a year (we were ntnp at the time). As it turns out my prolactin has been ok since then.

I know some of the others have had this too and have had some further investigation/treatment, so hopefully one will be along sooner or later to help you out more.

Chickpea - I am so happy that you are able to see the positives.

Apologies if I am overstepping, but one of my friends had two miscarriages in quick succession and after investigations she was prescribed an aspirin a day for some/all of her pregnancy. (Something to do with the lining of the womb...can't remember details as I wasn't TTC then so not as in the know)She went on to carry full term twice after that.

It may be worth mentioning to your GP or FS (although I know they do not like us to self diagnose)!

    All the best x

Hi - sorry for delay in responding, haven't been online much over holidays. Thanks for suggestion.! I actually take low dose aspirin every day anyway - but I'm booked in for a blood test for thrombophilia (sticky blood) next week as well. It's possible, so let's see!

Glad things better with OH, happy 2014 to you and everyone on here!

Berkshire... We can afford a couple of goes at IVF privately (based on it being about 5k?) but will really need a good think before going down that route as it could wipe us out.. We have been trying for 1.5 years now, so will wait at least another 6 months before considering that anyway.

I read about someone suing Berkshire Trust but can't seem to ever find out what the result of that was..

    Delinking

I read about that too as I'm also in berks. I think it got drawn out because the pct was being abolished or the area it covered redrawn up or something?

They have a rule like 30-34 and you have to have been trying for 3 years!

I read online they fund 3 cycles but I'm pretty sure where I am (think berks is split into a few areas? Think I'm West ) it's only 1 or 2. I also once found a report where they 'justified' each rule.

I couldn't find anything since the pct was changed though either if I were to see anything I'll post it.

Had a wee chat with DH while we were out walking the dog (we only seem to ever have serious chats while dog walking or driving for some reason) and I pointed out that we needed to get this thing in motion sooner rather than later as success rates go down after I turn 35 and as our chances are so low anyway, we don't need the extra decrease. I also pointed out that if there's nothing there, I'd rather know sooner so we can get on with our lives. So I'm hoping he doesn't postpone the appointment. Also remembered to pee in the bottle this morning so I now have wee in my freezer!!

First day back at work tomorrow and I'm dreading it. I've been off 2 weeks and got used to sleeping later and bumming about in my jammies and it's going to be a horrible culture shock getting up early and back on the train (although looking forward to being able to read on my new kindle). Plus, I hate my job, but because of the health problems I've had this year, I've been told I can't take on anything new as I need time to recover. Plus, the diet also starts tomorrow - not before time as none of my clothes fit anymore. Operation29 starts now (bmi below 30).

DH has also decided his new years resolution is to decorate the entire house. We bought a new bed on Friday and now we have to decorate the whole bedroom before it gets delivered. We went to get paint and stuff earlier and there was a kid in B&Q having the mother of all screaming tantrums and DH turned to me and whispered "You could have one of those!". :rotfl:We also went to get new flooring so countdown to getting the room cleaned, decluttered and painted starts now.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it all!!

Also, last night I had a dream that I was marrying Prince William in a Cathedral near my old flat (because it was a second marriage for us both), but my dress got all messed up and I had to run into a dress shop and they gave me a free dress and did my hair and then I had to run to the church because I was so late. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Prince William is really not my type.

I think it's because you don't have to look at each other, and you can have easy silences/distractions with you both staring at the dog, or just driving along. I think we had our last hard conversation in the car too. Mind you last time we were in the car we had a screaming fight - so it's swings and roundabouts!

I also find with DH that once we'd had 'the talk' he seems to sort of put it aside, but then he does go and do the things he said he would. And nagging him isn't a good idea... he will get to it.

Lets hope you DH does the same! No delaying the appointment hopefully.

He seemed to be on board with it, so hopefully he wont. I can understand that he's starting a new job and doesn't want to go in there asking for time off but its medical leave and I'm not getting any younger.

As for fighting in the car, that usually happens when DH relies on me for directions. I don't know why he does this. I'm dyscalculic, can't read a map, struggle with right and left and was born of parents who have no sense of direction. We used to go on camping holidays and had a family joke that we'd see the whole place before we found the campsite. In fact, when DH was coming to meet my parents for the first time, he got lost and phoned to ask for directions and my dad said he'd never heard of the shop that DH was parked outside. It turned out that it was the shop at the end of the street! So now I use the sat nav on my phone and we have fewer arguments

Can anyone explain why I've spent the past hour looking at nursery curtains? Its cd4 of our millionth cycle, don't think I'm going to have to decorate the spare room any time soon.
