Hi all,
Hugs for the CD 1 PM.
Sorry could not post from very long but I am always catching up.
The hospital has requested a dildo scan from me this Friday prior to my appointment on February 4th. Hope everything goes fine.
Now I was reading about acupuncture and read that it's increases the success rate for IVF has anyone here tried it. I was researching a particular facility in Harley street which charges £250 for initial consultation and 4 treatments for £350 three before EC and one after ET.
It is a bit on the expensive side but I saved up over last year to buy a Louis Vuitton for myself but planning to invest for accu instead.
Any suggestions anyone?Saving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)0 -
I've done it for ages. It's relaxing, but I'm not sure it makes that much of a difference. Although this is the wrong group to be asking probably!
I went to one for the last cycle. One initial consultation (£70) + 2 sessions during stims. Then two on ET day, one before and one after. The non-initial consultations were around £50.
I'm sure the needles help (although I never sure about a procedure you have to 'believe' in) but also I find they are always very positive and optimistic, which is good for your mental state. And being un-stressed is probably as important as anything.
Next time I'm going to combine it with some hypnotherapy MP3s I have downloaded, to try to ensure it's as relaxing as possible.0 -

I had acupuncture during my first ICSI, it was quite relaxing, but getting to the appointments on time in really bad weather was quite stressful! That round of treatment was unsuccessful and I didn't go for acupuncture during my 2nd ICSI which was successful, so I am a bit skeptical about it, I have friends who swear by it though, and I didn't pay anywhere near that much, I was £40 for the initial appointment and £35 after that, I had about 10 sessions I think.0 -

Dad was shouting in the son's face and shaking the bike handles aggressively shouting "STOP WORRYING ABOUT YOUR HANDS". Mom stood on, just watching passively.
I just thought, that poor kid. Why bother teaching him to ride the bike if you're going to be like that? That kid will probably remember that for the rest of his life.
Some people don't deserve children.
I don't think I have ever posted on this thread, but have lurked over my ttc journey.
I saw a family in the park the other week, with two youngish children. The youngest one was really sobbing, and the mother kept shouting, literally in her face, "stop crying, stop crying, stop crying or else I will leave you here".
I wanted to take the little girl home with me.0 -
Really don't want to continue the debate about Marywooyeah and the pregnancy thread on here.... but....
Is it only me who is worried and concerned for this lady?
Yes, of course it was silly to "assume" they would have a boy BUT regardless, she is obviously suffering from mental health issues - whether they stem from abuse, whether they relate entirely to the gender issues, etc.
I just hope she gets some support to help her through the situation, whatever she decides :ABaldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

Me neither bigmomma but in response to your 'is it only me?'. No, not really. I agree. I think she needs help. But.. a bigger part of me think she's attention seeking. The internet can attract a certain type of personality, one which is a little deluded frankly but thrives on the attention their contentious posts attract. I'm not sure it actually helps to be particularly sympathetic or even that attentive really. The people to help this poster and others like her are her family, friends and professionals, not the audience that she craves and is finding on these pages. It's not the first time she's posted strange stuff so she's not acting out of character (which is always a worry). TBH, one of two things is happening - she's exaggerating for effect in which case she should be ignored or she's determined to continue with her bizarre idea in which case her husband will be fully aware of what's going on and can, one assumes, help her far better than a bunch of strangers can. Either way, not our problem really."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I think it's quite telling that I knew which poster this was, having only read a couple of posts on here. That poster has had attention-seeking troll stamped all over them for months.0

I'm staying out of it. There is no value in getting annoyed at random people, I'm wasting enough energy being annoyed with DH!
Back to work today, so plenty of time for posting on MSE! I'll go back and see if anyone needs updating on the list. Let me know if any changes are requested. Tea - are you going ahead with another ICSI in January?0 -
