Thank-you what I am trying to work out is if it may start in Jan or Feb (my day 1 is around the 20th of a month). Hopefully wont be long!

Makes me wonder though what happens over Xmas holidays? Do they close (making more people hoping for Jan treatments)?

    Xx

At the clinic we go to, they don't book people in with cycles starting in the two weeks around end Oct as those people would likely need to be in over Christmas when they are shut. There are still two more cycles before January though so not sure how it would impact in the new year. I hope that things run smoothly for you Star.

    Hi,

    How we all doing today?

Star - great news! Please do bear in mind that your clinic might want to do more tests and it can take around six weeks after your first appointment until you start treatment. All clinics are different thought. I think that most don't do EC or ET over Christmas though, but I know my NHS clinic does offer scanning appointments etc.

PM - so sorry things are not looking good. I'm sorry if I'm overstepping the mark here, but why are you not being offered IVF yet? It seems like they put you through an awful lot to get an egg and then leave you to it. Sorry if IVF is not right for you or if there are other reasons, but you go though so much each month again and again. xx

Danielley - hope your scan goes well, nice to see you again xx

    T2D - any plans yet?

Tea - you ok, not heard from you in a day or so xx

My clinic has a series of dates on the wall which showed last allowed dates to start DR, or Stim etc. They are closed over Christmas, only a few days, but i think they just can't have embryos growing them as the embryologists need to be around all the time to monitor them.

I'm meeting with my oncologist tomorrow, he's spoken to the FS apparently and his PA intimated he may want to do another (!) small operation on Monday to try again. Which is good news, but I'm cautious about stepping back on the rollercoaster. Last week was really hard. I suspect it would be a few months before doing the FET, to ensure the cervix heals correctly this time.

DH isn't working so he will be with me which makes it easier.

My oncologist created this 'fertility sparing' treatment for cervical cancer, and it's in his interests for me to get pregnant as it improves his statistics. So I'm confident he will keep pushing for me to keep trying, which is what I want for now.

T2d I totally get the roller coaster feeling, exciting though that the powers that be are talking.

    Sewit

I get the feeling there's a whole course of treatment I have to go through, we've got other complications than pcos, I've got a blocked right tube after previous surgery and dh has problems to so Icsi has been mentioned.lap and dye and od were also mentioned.after my second hsg the consultant there didn't recommended surgery due to the damage that's already there so we went for injections. To me it became apparent fairly early on the injections wernt having the desired effect so asked if I could have surgery and was told we need to carry on the path were on :( I suspect as I'm very pcos my body just won't respond to any kind of meds properly and maybe surgery would help that to work.

We started injecting in aug and only had 2 weeks break after the trigger shot. I'm still very much bleeding 10 days after it started again.the longer it goes on I'm more likely to have the cycle canceled.im trying to be hopeful but I don't feel like the injections will be sucessful.

    Sorry for the essay.

What is the world coming to when people give babies away on game shows?

PM - thanks for the info. Hope you didn't think I was being rude by asking. I think sometimes FS don't realise how hard this is for us and they just focus on the medical stuff.

    Hugs everyone! X
